Techniques described herein may include a bootloader component of a welding system to determine that more than one application software module is available for the welding system. A display device may be configured to display user interface components configured to allow user selection of one or more application software module. An input device may be configured to receive a selection of one of the one or more application software modules. A processor of the welding system may be configured to execute the selected one or more application software modules.
