Generation of synthetic alerts and unified dashboard for viewing multiple layers of data center simultaneously
Systems and methods provide for automatically generating a data model that includes a first data feed conforming to industry standards where only alerts for alert triggering violations are provided. The data model further comprises a second data feed that includes both the alerts from the first data feed and a plurality of synthetic alerts for any violations that occur in a data center but do not qualify as alert triggering violations. This second data feed provides a complete picture of the performance of a data center's devices and allows for accurate analytics.
OPTIMISATION OF CHIP REMOVAL PROCESSES ON MACHINE TOOLS
In a method for operating a machine tool system with a machine tool for machining a workpiece using a tool, a control device is connected to the machine tool for generating a relative movement between the workpiece and the tool using a program executable by the control device. The control device includes an operating unit having a display device, allowing an operator to interact with the control device. The operator can manually alter with the operating unit a technology parameter. However, the operator generally does not know how a manual alteration of a technology parameter will affect productivity. Therefore, a measure for a change to production-related characteristics variable resulting from the manual alteration is determined and displayed to the operator on the display device directly or in relation to an associated relative measure.

NOTIFICATION DEVICE AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
In order to improve an operation rate of an industrial machine, a notification device includes: a determination unit that determines whether an operation of an industrial machine is interrupted; and a notification unit that, when it is determined that the operation of the industrial machine is interrupted, provides interruption information indicating that the operation of the industrial machine is interrupted before the operation of the industrial machine is interrupted.
Systems and methods for monitoring protection devices of an industrial machine
A system includes a machinery protection monitoring system. The machinery protection monitoring system includes a memory configured to store a plurality of alarm escalation rules associated with an operational protection function of an industrial machine, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory and configured to utilize the plurality of alarm escalation rules. The processor is also configured to receive an indication that the operational protection of the industrial machine is at least partially suspended, compare the measurement of the one or more operational parameters to at least one of the plurality of alarm escalation rules, and generate an alarm signal based at least in part on whether the at least one of the plurality of alarm escalation rules is satisfied. The alarm signal includes an indication of an adverse operational condition of the machinery protection monitoring system.

VIRTUALIZATION OF AN INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEM IN AN INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION SYSTEM
Systems and methods described herein may involve an industrial network device that performs an operation based on symbolic data received via an input terminal. The systems and methods may involve processing circuitry coupled via an output terminal to the input terminal. The processing circuitry may provide a virtualized control system communicatively coupled to the industrial network device via the output terminal, receive an event notification from a first container provided by one or more computing devices external to the industrial automation system, operate the virtualized control system to expose the event notification via a symbolic common industrial protocol (CIP) namespace to provide the symbolic data to the input terminal based on the event notification, and transmit the symbolic data corresponding to the virtualized control system via the one or more input terminals to the industrial network device.
