POSITION CALIBRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A position calibration system and method are disclosed, in which a control unit is provided to control a positioner sensing module to scan a circular positioner provided on a positioning substrate in a first direction and a second direction so as to acquire midpoints of two scanned line segments and acquire an intersection of lines extending from the two center points in a direction perpendicular to the first and the second directions as a calibration reference point, which correspond to a centroid (a center) of the circular positioner. The calibration reference point functions as a reference point for positioning the positioning substrate with respect to the positioner sensing module and is stored in a memory unit. The calibration reference point can be used as a positioning point during installation of a machine and can also be used for calibration of a position of the machine.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR DROPPED OBJECT DETECTION
Methods and apparatuses for detecting one or more objects (e.g., dropped objects) by a robotic device are described. The method comprises receiving a distance-based point cloud including a plurality of points in three dimensions, filtering the distance-based point cloud to remove points from the plurality of points based on at least one known surface in an environment of the robotic device to produce a filtered distance-based point cloud, clustering points in the filtered distance-based point cloud to produce a set of point clusters, and detecting one or more objects based, at least in part, on the set of point clusters.
RANGE FINDER DEVICE FOR MONITORING ROBOT PROCESSING TOOL POSITION
A range finder device for monitoring a 3D position of a robot processing tool relative to a tracking device mounted adjacent to the robot processing tool is disclosed. A body attachable to the tracking device supports a laser unit and a camera unit. The laser unit projects a triangulation laser mark on a target area of the processing tool. The mark, a tool center point and a processing area are in a field of view of the camera unit. A control unit controls operation of the laser unit and has an image analyzer circuit for receiving an image signal produced by the camera unit, producing triangulation laser measurement data from the triangulation laser mark in the image signal, generating a signal indicative of the position of the robot processing tool as function of the triangulation laser measurement data, and transmitting the image signal produced by the camera unit.
METHOD FOR CALIBRATING CNC PROCESSING APPARATUS
A method for calibrating a CNC processing apparatus is provided that can significantly reduce the amount of operation time required for sensor calibration. A method of the present invention for calibrating a non-contact sensor in a CNC processing apparatus 1 includes a first step, a second step and a third step. In the first step, the center coordinates of a reference instrument are measured with a contact probe and thereby the machine coordinates of the center of the reference instrument are determined. In the second step, after a non-contact sensor 110 is mounted onto a spindle 26, the center coordinates of the reference instrument are measured only one time with the non-contact sensor 110, and thereby the non-contact sensor coordinates of the center of the reference instrument are determined. In the third step, calculations are made to determine the amount of displacement required to bring the non-contact sensor coordinates obtained in the second step into agreement with the machine coordinates obtained with the contact probe in the first step.
Laser rangefinder having common optical path
The present invention relates to a laser rangefinder having common optical path comprising a housing assembly, a control and display assembly mounted in the housing assembly, a mounting device mounted in the housing assembly, an imaging module mounted on the mounting device and a laser module movably mounted on the mounting device longitudinally next to the imaging module, the laser module being electrically connected with the control and display assembly, the laser module comprising a laser emitting apparatus, a laser receiving apparatus and a reference point indicating apparatus, wherein a light path of the laser emitting apparatus and a light path of the laser receiving apparatus are configured to be independent to a light path of the reference point indicating apparatus, an optical axis of light path of the laser emitting apparatus shooting at the target object and an optical axis of the reference point indicating apparatus are collinear.
METHOD FOR ELIMINATING WELD GAPS AND POSITIONAL VARIATION IN WELD ASSEMBLIES
A component having a first part and a second part. The first part has a first interface surface and the second part has a second interface surface that is connected to the first interface surface via a bond. A digital profile of the first interface surface is used to shape the second interface surface to fit against the first interface surface with minimal to no gap therebetween before forming the bond. The digital profile is developed by scanning the first part with a scanner and the second part is shape by cutting or milling with a robotic arm that acts in accordance with a digital profile data read by a controller. The two parts are bonded via a weld that is automatically guided by the digital profile.
Multiaxis machining device and compensation method thereof
The present invention provides a planar three-dimensional displacement sensor for a multiaxis machining device. With the measurement of the (planar) three-dimensional displacement sensor in the multiaxis machining device, the multiaxis machining device and a multiaxis machining compensation method are able to eliminate various deformation effects effectively.
Control device, robot, and robot system
A control device includes a processor that is configured to execute computer-executable instructions so as to control an arm included in a robot. The processor is configured to perform work on a target using a tool that performs work on the target. A distance meter measures a measurement value according to a relative distance between a first position of the target and the tool. The first position includes a portion overlapping with the tool when viewed from a direction toward the target from the tool.
