SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SETTING UP A ROBOTIC ASSEMBLY OPERATION

A robotic assembly operation is provided for assembling a second part to a first part. During setup of the assembly operation, control parameters and a control scheme are set and changed by simulating the operation and testing whether performance requirements are met. A dry run may be performed thereafter, and test data may be collected after running the simulation to determine if the performance requirements are satisfied during the dry run. During production, production data may also be collected and control parameters may be tuned when changes occur during production in order to maintain stable assembly.

An exoskeleton comprising a plurality of support structures, and a plurality of joint mechanisms each joint mechanism rotatably coupling at least two of the plurality of support structures. A sensor discrepancy detection system can be operable to compare sensor output data from a user operated force moment sensor and at least one torque sensor of a joint mechanism. A controller can be configured to recruit at least one substitute sensor from a first sensor group of based on an identified discrepancy between the sensor output data and to execute a remedial measure associated with a safety mode of the exoskeleton for safe operation of the exoskeleton.

RISK-BASED ROBOT SYSTEM CONFIGURATOR

Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods of a system that may adapt sensing capabilities based on the risk of the situation. The system may determine a risk estimation of an object in a work environment of a robot based on sensor data and a measurement uncertainty of a sensing system configured to collect the sensor data, wherein the sensor data is indicative of the object in the work environment. The system may also, based on the risk estimation, select a next operation mode from a plurality of operation modes for the sensing system.

Systems and Methods for High Throughput Object Handling and Screening

Systems and methods described herein are for high throughput object handling and X-Ray screening systems. Material handling systems can adopt the proposed system to assist with the transportation of objects into X-Ray screening machines populated with lead curtains to curtail radiation emissions. The lead curtains associated with X-Ray screening machines can cause numerous problems to the safe and secure transportation of the objects. The systems and methods proposed control several aspects of the object handling to overcome the problems associated with the lead curtains. The system and methods results in the increase of system throughput, improved efficiency, reduction in line stoppages and general wear and tear. Systems can include a smart conveyor that assists objects through lead curtains using flights that are raised behind the trailing edge of the objects. The system can include smart conveyors and control systems that communicate with the X-Ray machine regarding the identity and status of the objects.
