MASTER-SLAVE SYSTEM AND CONTROLLING METHOD
A master-slave system includes: a master unit including an operation end, an operation detector that detects operational information inputted by a force being applied to the operation end, and a force applier that gives a force to the operation end; a slave unit including an action part, and an operation part that moves the action part; and a control device. The control device outputs, according to a regulating condition and the operational information, a command for causing the operation part to operate the action part to carry out operation reflecting the regulating condition. The control device outputs, according to the regulating condition, a command for causing the force applier to give a force to the operation end against the input to the operation end that commands the given movement of the action part.
Robot system and method of controlling the robot system
A robot system includes a slave unit including a slave-side force detector configured to detect a direction and a magnitude of a reaction force acting on a workpiece held by a work end of a slave arm, a master unit including a master-side force detector configured to detect a direction and a magnitude of an operating force applied by an operator to an operation end of a master arm, and a system controller configured to generate a slave operational command and a master operational command based on the operating force and the reaction force. The system controller includes a regulator configured to correct a moving direction of the work end so that the movement of the work end in a pressing direction of an object is regulated when the reaction force exceeds an acceptable value set beforehand.
MOBILE-BODY MANIPULATION DEVICE AND MANIPULATION SYSTEM
A manipulation device 51 (master device) includes: an upper-body support part 65 which is mounted on an upper body of an operator P to be able to move together with the operator P as the operator P moves; and a movement command determination unit 94 which determines a movement control command value of a mobile body 1 (slave device) according to an observation value of a motion state including a movement speed of the upper-body support part 65 in a movement environment of the operator P. A reaction force received from the operator P by the upper-body support part 65 can be controlled by action control of a movement mechanism 52 of the manipulation device 51 and a lifting mechanism 60.
ALIGNMENT DIFFERENCE SAFETY IN A MASTER-SLAVE ROBOTIC SYSTEM
A method, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and an apparatus for operating the robotic control system comprising a master apparatus (64) in communication with an input device (58, 60) having a handle (102) and a slave system (54, 74) having a tool (66, 67) having an end effector (73) whose position and orientation is determined in response to a current position and current orientation of the handle. The method involves producing a desired end effector position and orientation in response to a current position and orientation of the handle. The method involves causing the input device to provide haptic feedback that impedes translational movement of the handle, while permitting rotational movement of the handle and preventing movement of the end effector, when a rotational alignment difference between the handle and the end effector meets a disablement criterion. The method further involves re-enabling translational movement of the handle when the rotational alignment difference meets an enablement criterion.
ALIGNMENT DIFFERENCE SAFETY IN A MASTER-SLAVE ROBOTIC SYSTEM
A method of operating a robotic control system comprising a master apparatus in communication with an input device having a handle and a slave system having a tool having an end effector whose position and orientation is determined in response to a position and orientation of the handle. The method involves producing a desired end effector position and a desired end effector orientation of the end effector, in response to a current position and a current orientation of the handle. The method further involves causing the input device to provide haptic feedback that impedes translational movement of the handle, while permitting rotational movement of the handle and preventing movement of the end effector, when a rotational alignment difference between the handle and the end effector meets a first criterion. The method further involves re-enabling translational movement of the handle when the rotational alignment difference meets a second criterion.

Configuring surgical system with surgical procedures atlas
A surgical method is provided for use with a teleoperated surgical system (surgical system), the method comprising: recording surgical instrument kinematic information indicative of surgical instrument motion produced within the surgical system during the occurrence of the surgical procedure; determining respective kinematic signatures associated with respective surgical instrument motions; producing an information structure in a computer readable storage device that associates respective kinematic signatures with respective control signals; comparing, during a performance of the surgical procedure surgical instrument kinematic information during the performance with at least one respective kinematic signature; launching, during a performance of the surgical procedure an associated respective control signal in response to a match between surgical instrument kinematics during the performance and a respective kinematic signature.
System and method for instructing a robot
The disclosure relates to a system (1) and method for instructing a robot. The system (1) comprising an immersive haptic interface, such that operator interaction with a master robot arm (2) is reflected by a slave robot arm (3) arranged for interaction with a workpiece (4). The interaction of the slave robot arm (3) is reflected back to the master robot arm (2) as haptic feedback to the operator. The dynamic system is continually simulated forward and new commands are calculated for the master robot arm and the slave robot arm.
