Setting value adjustment device for displacement meter
A setpoint adjustment apparatus for a displacement meter (10) includes a determiner (343) to determine whether a measurement value acquired by an acquirer (341) in measurement of a reference workpiece using an applying setpoint, to be used in measurement of the reference workpiece, is within the range of a desired measurement value (352), and a changer (345) to change the applying setpoint. When the measurement value is within the range of the desired measurement value (352), the applying setpoint used in acquisition of the measurement value is employed as an applying setpoint for inspection of a measurement target (1). When the measurement value is out of this range, the applying setpoint used in acquisition of the measurement value is changed to a different applying setpoint, and whether the measurement value from the reference workpiece using this applying setpoint is within the range of the desired measurement value (352) is determined.

A method of generating fabrication parameters for fabrication of a part is disclosed. The method comprises receiving from a computer device a 3D file representing the part to be fabricated. A three-dimensional model stored in the three-dimensional model file is converted to manufacturing instructions. The three-dimensional model includes the geometrical layout of the part, and the three-dimensional model includes mesh surface data. A cost as well as a time associated with the manufacturing of the part are generated. The cost and time to manufacture the part are outputted to a customer device. A system for generating fabrication parameters for fabrication of a part is also disclosed.

A method for generating a quote for fabrication of a part to be fabricated is disclosed. The method includes receiving, from a customer device associated with a customer, a design request for a part to be fabricated by a fabrication process. The design request includes a three-dimensional (3D) model file representing the part to be fabricated. The method further includes generating a feature vector for the part based on the model file and determining a total height of the part to be fabricated. Further, the method includes identifying one or more candidate orientations for the part to be fabricated and generating, as a function of a geometry of the part and a candidate orientation of the one or more candidate orientations, fabrication parameters for the part to be fabricated, wherein the fabrication parameters include a cost to fabricate the part and estimated completion date.
System and method for generating fabrication parameters of a part to be fabricated
A method for generating a quote for fabrication of a part to be fabricated includes receiving, from a customer device associated with a customer, a design request for a part to be fabricated by a fabrication process, the design request including a two-dimensional drawing file representing the part to be fabricated and descriptive information including a descriptive datum. The method includes extracting a first feature from the 2D drawing file, wherein the first feature represents a geometry of the part to be fabricated. The method includes extracting a second feature from the descriptive information, wherein the second feature represents the descriptive datum. The method includes generating, as a function of the first and second features, a quote for fabrication for the part to be fabricated, the quote for fabrication including a cost and time to fabricate the part to be fabricated and sending the quote for fabrication to the customer.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BUILDING ACTIVITY-BASED DATA COLLECTION DEVICES
A grip interface is used to provide information about a user to a range of connected devices and applications based on the users' interactions with the grip. By embedding into the grip an array of sensors for motion, health, environmental and other data using embedded microcontroller network technology, and focusing on the grip as the interface between the physical and virtual worlds, applications and services to existing grip-based devices are enabled. Applications for the grip include as sports, fitness equipment, health monitoring, activity tracking, coaching, physical therapy, mobility aide and virtual entertainment, among others.
METHOD OF DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING A DISTRIBUTOR BAR FOR APPLYING A VISCOUS FOAMABLE LIQUID MIXTURE ONTO A LAMINATOR
Method of designing and manufacturing a distributor bar for use in a production line comprising a mixing head for providing a viscous foamable liquid mixture, a laminator with a predefined speed of at least 20 m/min, the distributor bar having a central inlet fluidly connected to a number of outlets via a main channel. The method comprises: choosing (3001) a geometry for the distributor bar and defining a set of geometrical parameters; assigning (3002) values to said parameters; creating (3003) a virtual model; simulating (3005) flow in said model by performing a Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation (CFD), taking into account (3004) a non-Newtonian shear thinning model; e) evaluating the simulated flow; building (2007) a physical distributor bar. A distributor bar, a production line, and a computer program product.
Analysis of Body-Side Performance Differences Using Activity-Based Data Collection Devices
Sensor data are obtained for an activity performed by a user. The sensor data include data from one or more sensors in one or more grips gripped by the user's left hand and the user's right hand during the activity. The sensor data are analyzed to identify a difference in performance of the activity between the left side of the user's body and the right side of the user's body. Feedback is provided to the user to compensate for the difference.
