MODULAR SELF-CONFIGURING INDUSTRIAL TABLE
20220274218 · 2022-09-01 ·

A modular tabletop apparatus, typically used for workpiece storage and handling during robotic manipulation and feeding to a machine, is disclosed. Modules of the apparatus comprise detection interfaces disposed at locations corresponding to module edge locations and arranged in a periodic grid. Alignment of facing detection interfaces along common edges of pairs of adjacent modules permits module controllers to detect neighboring modules, and a main controller to compute the overall size and shape of the tabletop formed by the modules. Connecting arrangements are also disclosed. The connecting arrangements may be placed at the same grid locations as the detection interfaces, advantageously permitting alignment of detection interfaces for any interconnection configuration of modules. Modules may comprise plates with a grid of positioning indentations. The period of the positioning grid can be an integer multiple or integer fraction of that of the interface/connection grid.

Robot system including feed device, and feed table device

A robot system that simplifies a configuration and control sequence of a feed table device. The robot system includes a robot, a first table and a second table, a first feed device that feeds the first table, a second feed device that feeds the second table, an interlocking member that works the first feed device and the second feed device in synchronization with each other, and a control device that controls a first operation of the robot for a process and also controls a second operation, which is different from the first operation, of the robot for manipulating the interlocking member. The robot manipulates the interlocking member by the second operation, and thus respectively disposes the first table and the second table in a position corresponding to the process.

Actuated height adjustable optical table

An actuated, height adjustable optical table or workstation for use in microscopy, optical research laboratories and similar environments includes fixed and moving parts which combine to create a rigid, height adjustable table structure on which to mount an optical breadboard or similar platforms via optional passive or active vibration isolation mounts. The height adjustment is performed by multiple compact actuators with associated control hardware and software, and allows the user or an application system to perform activities with the table at any heights.

A motion system includes a motion hardware system and a motion control system configured to control the movement of the motion hardware system. The hardware system includes a motion stage, a platform supporting the motion stage, and a machine frame resting on a ground surface. The platform includes a base and an active vibration isolation system arranged between the base and the machine frame. The active vibration isolation system includes actuators to provide together at least three degrees-of-freedom actuation of the base. The motion control system includes a feedforward control having a vibration isolation system controller for controlling the at least three DOF actuation of the active vibration isolation system to compensate, by exerting a counteracting force on the base, for expected reactions forces exerted by the motion stage on the base when operating. The feedforward control includes a memory for storing a string of characters defining the motion equations based on the topology of the motion stage, and a processing unit for processing the string of characters to compute the counteracting force.
