CONTROLLING DELIVERY VIA UNMANNED DELIVERY SERVICE THROUGH ALLOCATED NETWORK RESOURCES
An unmanned vehicle control method includes acquiring a delivery request for an item, the delivery request comprising delivery information of the item, and determining, according to the delivery information, predicted travelling data associated with delivering the item and at least one of network coverage or network connection quality associated with the predicted travelling data. The method further includes allocating network resources according to the at least one of the network coverage or the network connection quality of the predicted travelling data, and generating a remote driving control instruction according to the predicted travelling data. The method further includes transmitting the remote driving control instruction to an unmanned vehicle using the allocated network resources, so as to cause the unmanned vehicle to drive based on the remote driving control instruction, the unmanned vehicle being configured to transport the item.
System and method for assisting collaborative sensor calibration
Embodiments described herein include a method of receiving, by a moving assisting vehicle, a calibration assistance request related to a moving ego vehicle that requested assistance in collaborative calibration of a sensor deployed on the moving ego vehicle. The method further includes analyzing the calibration assistance request to extract at least one of a schedule or an assistance route associated with the requested assistance. The method includes communicating with the moving ego vehicle about a desired location relative to the position of the moving ego vehicle for the moving assisting vehicle to be in order to assist the sensor to acquire information of a target present on the moving assisting vehicle. The method includes facilitating to drive the moving assisting vehicle to reach the desired location to achieve the collaborative calibration of the sensor on the moving ego vehicle.
Apparatus and method for safety improvement by collaborative autonomous vehicles
An apparatus for safety collaboration in computer-assisted or autonomous driving (CA/AD) vehicles includes an input interface to obtain sensor data from one or more sensors of a CA/AD vehicle, an output interface, and an analyzer coupled to the input and output interfaces to process the sensor data to identify an emergency condition of the CA/AD vehicle, and in response to the identified emergency condition, cause a communication interface of the CA/AD vehicle, via the output interface, to broadcast a request for assistance to be received by one or more nearby CA/AD vehicles. The apparatus may be disposed in the CA/AD vehicle.
Method for localizing a vehicle
A method for localizing a vehicle comprises transmitting first position data related to a first position of the vehicle at a first point in time from the vehicle to a server. The server computes second position data related to the first position of the vehicle at the first point in time based on the received first position data. The server transmits the second position data from the server to the vehicle. The vehicle computes third position data related to a second position of the vehicle at a second point in time based on the received second position data. The second point in time is later than the first point in time.
Method of assisting with the driving of vehicles carried out by associated system including sensors installed along sections of road
A method is for assisting with the driving of vehicles traveling on a road by an assistance system including a sensor installed along sections of the road and an electronic processor. The method includes reception by the processor of a request indicating a road portion and requesting information on the state of the portion, determination by the processor, as a function of the requested information and the road portion, of the configuration among several determined configurations, of the sensor, sending by the processor to the sensor of a command indicating the configuration, sending the processor data delivered by the sensor in the configuration, and sending by the processor of the information determined as a function of the data.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE
A method for operating a vehicle, whereby the vehicle, parked at a parking position in a parking facility, is guided autonomously from the parking position to a loading station and parked autonomously at the loading station, so that the vehicle can be loaded at the loading station. Also described is a related vehicle and computer program.
VALET PARKING METHOD
A method for the optimized use of a parking area. Vehicles which are to be parked on the parking area are each assigned a parking space, the vehicles navigating to the respective assigned parking space, in particular autonomously. Furthermore, vehicles may carry out a change of the parking space in order to enable an improved use of the available parking area or a faster availability of the vehicle, whereby overall an optimized use of the parking area is achieved. Initially, an available range of the respective vehicles is ascertained, and the assignment of the respective parking space and/or a possible change of the parking space are made dependent on the available range of the individual vehicles. The available range of a vehicle is in particular described by a residual fuel amount or a charge state of the vehicle.
METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE BASED ON ELECTRONIC MESSAGES FROM ROADSIDE INFRASTRUCTURE OR OTHER VEHICLES
A method of operating a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle, includes the steps of receiving a message from roadside infrastructure via an electronic receiver and providing, by a computer system in communication with said electronic receiver, instructions based on the message to automatically implement countermeasure behavior by a vehicle system. Additionally or alternatively, the method may include the steps of receiving a message from another vehicle via an electronic receiver and providing, by a computer system in communication with said electronic receiver, instructions based on the message to automatically implement countermeasure behavior by a vehicle system.
Gateway system with multiple modes of operation in a fleet management system
A method and a gateway system of a mobile asset are described. A voltage produced by a power system of the mobile asset is monitored by a gateway system. In response to determining that a first fluctuation occurs in the voltage produced by the power system of the mobile asset over a first interval of time, the gateway system operates in a first mode. In response to determining that a value of the voltage produced by the power system of the mobile asset is less than a voltage threshold, the gateway system automatically transitions to operating in a second mode, which is different from the first mode and causes the gateway system to consume less power than when it is operating in the first mode.
Positioning system and method based on neural network model
A positioning system and a method based on neural network models are provided. The positioning method includes collecting WI-FI® fingerprint data; configuring a computing device to receive the WI-FI® fingerprint data, and the computing device includes a processor and a database storing positioning map data and a group of neural network models including a global positioning model, a coarse positioning model and a fine positioning model; configuring the processor to input the WI-FI® fingerprint data and perform the following steps: estimating a global coordinate through the global positioning model; obtaining the corresponding coarse positioning model from a corresponding primary sub-region to estimate an estimated coarse coordinate of a current position; estimating a plurality of estimated fine coordinates of the current position from the corresponding fine positioning model; and performing a merging process on the estimated fine coordinates to generate a final coordinate.
