Adjustable Washing Assembly for a Car Wash System
A car wash system is disclosed. The car wash system can include an adjustable top washer, a sensor configured to determine a height measurement of the vehicle, an actuator configured to adjust a position of the top washer, and a control system coupled to the actuator and the sensor. The control system can be configured to receive the height measurement of the vehicle from the sensor and control the actuator to adjust the position of the top washer based on the received height measurement.
Method and device for the cyclic digital transmission of a position value of a moving object with inertial mass
In a method and device for the cyclic digital transmission of a position value of a moving object with inertial mass, the value range of the transmitted position value is restricted such that no complete rotation or, in the case of a linear motion, other complete period caused by mechanical conditions may be mapped, and the actual position is formed by detecting value-range exceedances in an evaluation unit.
Display and audio systems and methods for controlling positioning of displays and speakers based on viewer and listener attention
Display and audio systems and methods for controlling positioning of displays and speakers based on viewer and listener attention are disclosed. According to an aspect, a display system includes a selectively adjust a viewing angle of a display for one or more viewers. The display system also includes a motorized mechanism that controllably positions the display in one of the positions. An attention detection system is configured to acquire movement and position data of the viewer(s). The attention detection system is also configured to determine whether attention of the viewer(s) is directed to the display based on the acquired data. Further, the attention detection system is configured to control the support assembly to adjust the viewing angle of the display for viewing by the viewer(s) in response to determining that the attention of the viewer(s) is directed to the display.
Method and device for accurate positioning of a moveably arranged panel
A method for positioning a movably arranged panel comprises the steps of determining a panel braking distance based on a physical property of the moveable panel and a physical property of at least one of a drive assembly and a drive motor. The panel braking distance corresponds to a distance covered by the moveable panel in a period of time starting from a decision to switch off the drive motor until stand-still of the moveable panel. The drive motor is switched off when an expected stop position is within a predetermined range around a desired stop position.
SUBSTRATE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A linear electrical machine comprising a frame with a level reference plane and an array of electromagnets, connected to the frame to form a drive plane at a predetermined height relative to the reference plane. The array of electromagnets being arranged so that a series of electromagnets of the array of electromagnets define at least one drive line within the drive plane, and each of the electromagnets being coupled to an alternating current power source energizing each electromagnet. At least one reaction platen of paramagnetic, diamagnetic, or non-magnetic conductive material disposed to cooperate with the electromagnets of the array of electromagnets so that excitation of the electromagnets with alternating current generates levitation and propulsion forces against the reaction platen that controllably levitate and propel the reaction platen along at least one drive line, in a controlled attitude relative to the drive plane.

Articulated fluid delivery system with swivel joints rated for high pressure and flow
An articulated fluid delivery unit (FDU) is disposed to deliver fluid remotely to, for example, a mating fluid connection housing assembly provided on a wellhead. Flow iron on the FDU preferably includes at least one swivel joint rated for high fluid pressure and high fluid volume flow. More preferably, the swivel joint has an internal diameter of not less than about 5 inches and is further capable of rotation while retaining an internal pressure of not less than about 10,000 psi.
Contact detection in additive manufacturing
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for setting a working distance of an additive manufacturing system, including: moving a deposition element towards a build surface; detecting, via a contact detection system, a contact between the deposition element and the build surface; stopping the moving of the deposition element in response to detecting the contact between the deposition element and the build surface; and moving the deposition element away from the build surface a determined working distance.
Motorcycle lean angle indication device, system and method
The present disclosure is directed to lean angle indication for motorcycles. The disclosure provides a motorcycle lean angle indication device that is operationally configured to be attached to a motorcycle and contact a surface that a motorcycle is traveling upon when the motorcycle realizes a target lean angle when executing a turning maneuver.
ACTIVE GRILL SHUTTER ACTUATION SYSTEM
A grille shutter actuation system for a vehicle includes a grille shutter, a linear actuator having a cylinder with first and second orifices and a piston. The piston is connected to the grille shutter for moving same. Fluid is pumped into one of the orifices through first or second hoses for moving the piston. A bi-directional motor is connected to the pump, and a controller controls a direction of rotation of a motor shaft in response to an input. A control module provides the input to the controller which determines whether fluid is pumped into the first or second orifice dependent upon the direction of rotation of the shaft. The input is determined by the control module based on information from the controller and/or a sensor associated with the grille shutter. The pump and motor may be remotely mounted within an engine compartment, for example, a distance from the linear actuator(s).
