Provided are a terminal device and a folding display screen thereof. The folding display screen includes a flexible display panel and an axis-variable folding assembly arranged on a back of the flexible display panel. The axis-variable folding assembly includes a shaft body and magnetic coils positioned to the shaft body. The shaft body includes a flexible outer layer connected to the flexible display panel and a plurality of magnetic beads wrapped by the flexible outer layer. The plurality of magnetic beads are movable relative to each other in a folding motion of the axis-variable folding assembly. Upon a change in a current supplied to the magnetic coils, the magnetic coils can generate a variable magnetic field to adjust an arrangement of the plurality of magnetic beads wrapped by the flexible outer layer.

FOLDABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A foldable electronic device, including a first body having a first shaft member, at least one second body having a second shaft member, and a latching member, is provided. The first shaft member and the second shaft member are coaxially pivoted together. The first shaft member has a recess. The second shaft member has a locking hole. The latching member is movably disposed in the recess and the locking hole, so that when the latching member leaves the locking hole, the first body and the second body are relatively pivoted through the first shaft member and the second shaft member, or when the latching member moves into the locking hole, the latching member interferes with the first shaft member and the second shaft member to block the first body and the second body from relatively pivoting.

An electronic device includes a first body, a second body and a third body. The first body includes a processing unit. The second body includes an input unit and is pivoted to an end of the first body. The third body includes a display unit and is pivoted to another end of the first body. When the third body is closed to the first body and the first body is closed to the second body, the electronic device is in a folded state. When the first body is expanded from the second body with a first predetermined angle, the third body is expanded from the first body with a second predetermined angle, such that the electronic device is in an operation state. When the electronic device is in the operation state, the third body is supported away from the second body by the first body.

An electronic device includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. A torque-optional hinge connects the third portion to the second portion, and a support hinge connects the third portion to the first portion. The torque-optional hinge has a hinge axis and a means for selectively generating a torque around the hinge axis. The means for selectively generating the torque has a high-torque state and a low-torque state. The high-torque state provides a greater rotational resistance around the hinge axis than the low-torque state. The support hinge rotatably connects the first portion and the third portion and provides a torque around a support axis.

System and method for streamlining user interaction with electronic content

Various aspects and embodiments are directed to a graphical user interface that organizes interface elements into views of computer content for presentation to a user. Different views of are used to provide an interface that is responsive to configurations of the device and activities performed by the user. Aspects include permitting the user to transition the device from one configuration to another during its use. The elements that comprise the graphical user interface are configured to present a summarized view of available actions and content to simplify user interaction. The different views present different organizations of the interface elements and in some examples display only certain modes of content in order to reduce the number of options a user must navigate. Methods and systems for streamlining user interaction with computer content are also provided. Streamlining includes, for example, pre-configuring a user device based on received information.

COMPUTING DEVICE HINGE

A computing device includes a four-body hinge. Abase member is connected to abase and an upper member is connected to a display. A first linkage and a second linkage are connected to the base member and the upper member. As the display moves relative to the base, the four-body hinge resists rotation of the display, thereby stabilizing the display during use by the user.

Apparatus, system and method to provide switchable coils in a computing device, comprising: a plurality of electrically conductive coils to transfer electromagnetic energy; a sensor coupled to a processor, to select a coil from among the plurality of electrically conductive coils; a switch to energize the selected coil; and a switch controller coupled to the switch and to the processor. In some embodiments, the plurality of coils may comprise an inductive charging interface. Some embodiments may further include a communication interface between the processor to the plurality of electrically conductive coils, the plurality of coils comprising an interface for near-field communications (NFC). The antenna coils may be arranged to provide improved NFC coverage when the computing device is in a respective predetermined physical configuration. Sensors may be used to detect the configuration and switch NFC communications to use a preferred antenna coil for the detected configuration.

RUGGED PORTABLE DEVICE

A Rugged portable device comprises: a base, a cover pivotally connected to the base, a first antenna unit, a second antenna unit, and a control unit. The first antenna unit and the second antenna unit are respectively disposed at an edge of the cover and an edge of the base, and the first antenna unit and the second antenna unit respectively have a near-field antenna and a far-field antenna. When the cover pivots relative to the base and is close to the base, the near-field antenna disposed at the cover and the near-field antenna disposed at the base generate a near-field communication (NFC) sensing signal and the near-field communication sensing signal is transmitted to the control unit. Therefore, the control unit sets up one of functions in the rugged portable device. For instance, the control unit switches off and/or switches on the far-field antenna or a peripheral unit (a keyboard or a camera).
