A portable device (e.g., a wireless device such as a cell phone) is provided with a flexible keyboard and a flexible display screen. Such flexible components may be stored in the housing of the portable device when not in use. The flexible display screen and flexible keyboard may be expanded from the housing when the flexible components are utilized by a user. Non-flexible display and input components may be provided on the exterior of the portable device such that the device may be used, in some form, while the flexible components are stored. In one embodiment, a portion of the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) may be utilized when the flexible display (or flexible keyboard) is stored in said first housing.

An apparatus, method, and computer-readable storage medium for processing image data are provided. The apparatus includes an output unit configured to project a first image on a projection surface, a detection unit configured to detect movement of the apparatus, and a processor configured to change the first image to a second image based on the detected movement.

A portable computer including a body having a processor is provided. The portable computer include a foldable member coupled to an edge of the body. The portable computer includes a monitor mounted on the foldable member and being configured to display data in a first direction with respect to the foldable member; an imaging device configured to receive data from the processor and to form a light beam representing the data; and an optical member configured to receive the light beam and to project an image in a second direction with respect to the foldable member.

A power bank and holographic projection accessory intended for use with a portable electronic device. The accessory includes a holographic projection unit and an external power bank case attachable to the holographic projection unit. The external power bank case is configured to provide power to the holographic projection unit and to provide a video signal generated by the portable electronic device to the holographic projection unit. The holographic projection unit generates volumetric projections based upon the video signal.

An addressable display system configured for use in a mounting adapter configured to mount a personal electronic device (PED) on an aircraft includes a transparent surface configured to overlay the display surface of a PED when the PED is mounted in the mounting adapter wherein the transparent surface includes a region that is uniformly coated with a coating layer that when activated with a select excitation wavelength is configured to emit visible light to annunciate a message indicating a problem with an image displayed on a PED display; a lighting source configured to provide light in at an excitation wavelength; a MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) scanner module that is controllable to write desired symbology for annunciation at different addressable locations on the transparent surface; and an imaging device configured to capture an image of the PED display for an integrity check of data displayed on the PED display.

A number of processor units displays a view of a location with voice command devices in response to detecting the voice command from a user. The number of processor units displays a voice command direction for the voice command in the view of the location. The number of processor units changes the voice command direction in response to a user input. The number of processor units identifies a voice command device from the voice command devices in the location based on the voice command direction to form a selected voice command device. The number of processor units executes the voice command using the selected voice command device.
