The slot allows locking therein a lock head, a cable of which is attachable to an immovable object. The security kit includes a security bracket having an attachment plate with a screw hole formed therein, and having a thickened portion having a security slot formed therein. A fork-shaped screw extracting tool is used to extract from the mobile electronic device one of the body screws and then re-use it to attach the security bracket to the housing of the electronic device.

Adjustable head-mounted display

A head-mounted display including a front, a back, a first actuator, a second actuator, a first adjustable member extending between the front and the back and operably engaging the first actuator, and a second adjustable member extending between the front and the back and operably engaging the second actuator. The first adjustable member and the second adjustable member may be adjustable in length via the second actuator to vary a gap distance between the front and the back. In some embodiments, the head-mounted display may include a wire routing assembly for routing wire(s) between the front and the back of the head-mounted display. Additionally, in some embodiments, the head-mounted display may include a harness for engaging a user.

Elastic stretch and retraction mechanism and electronic device

An elastic stretch and retraction mechanism for an electronic device is provided. The elastic stretch and retraction mechanism includes a fixed bracket, a guide member, a sliding member, and an elastic member. The fixed bracket is fixed to a housing assembly of the electronic device. The guide member is connected to the fixed bracket. The sliding member is slidably connected to the guide member. The sliding member is configured to connect with a stretch and retraction end of a flexible screen of the electronic device. The elastic member is arranged between the fixed bracket and the sliding member. The elastic member is configured to reset the sliding member. The flexible screen can easily and stably stretch and retract through the elastic stretch and retraction mechanism, which provides high operability and ensures the reliability of the use of the electronic device.

MODULAR COMPUTER SYSTEM

One variation of a modular computer system includes: a chassis; an expansion slot; and an expansion card. The chassis includes a main board. The expansion slot: is arranged on a lateral side of the chassis; and defines a receptacle inset a bottom side of the chassis. The expansion slot includes: a latching member arranged within the receptacle; and a female connected to the main board. The expansion card includes: an enclosure configured to couple within the receptacle; a latch receiver configured to transiently couple the latching member to maintain the first enclosure within the first receptacle; and a male connector extending from the enclosure, and configured to interface the female connector of the expansion slot. The expansion card further includes an external port arranged at the enclosure and configured to interface with an external device.

Electrostatic clutch for active control of free hinge

A hinge mechanism includes an electrostatic clutch for providing active control of a relative angle between two planar components. The hinge mechanism includes two conductive components on opposite sides of a dielectric layer; a relative angle detection mechanism usable to determine a relative angle between the two planar components; and a voltage controller that selectively applies voltage to at least one of the two conductive components when the detected angle between the two planar components satisfies a locking condition, the applied voltage creating an electrostatic force that restricts movement of the two conductive components and fixedly support the two planar components at the detected angle of separation.

Various configurations of an electronic display, and devices incorporating the display, are provided. The display may have multiple portions connected along one or more axes, lines, points, or other connecting areas. The portions are movable about the connections. In various configurations, the display portions emulate different media and/or communication and computing devices. Two or more of the display devices may be coupled in an array.

Locking structure

A locking structure, for fastening together a first case and a second case, includes: a fastening portion disposed on the first case, a hook portion movable between a locking position and a release position, and a tension spring with one end disposed at the second case and the other end disposed at the hook portion. When the hook portion moves to the locking position under an applied force, the hook portion becomes fastened to the fastening portion. After the hook portion has separated from the fastening portion under an applied force, the tension spring exerts a restoring force under which the hook portion returns to the release position. After the hook portion has separated from the fastening portion under the applied force, the tension spring pulls the hook portion back to the release position without a user's manipulation.
