COMPUTING DEVICE HINGES
A hinge of a computing device includes a primary support connecting a display to a stand. As the display rotates about the stand, the primary support slides along a friction strip, which stabilizes the display with respect to the stand. A stabilizer may connect the stand to the base or the stand to the display.
HINGE ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A hinge assembly includes: a fixed supporting piece; a rotating assembly, movably connected with the fixed supporting piece and including a first limiting portion; and a locking mechanism, disposed on the fixed supporting piece and including a limiting piece which includes a second limiting portion matched with the first limiting portion. The fixed supporting piece slides relative to the rotating assembly in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the rotating assembly in a rotation process of the rotating assembly, so that the first limiting portion is connected with the second limiting portion or the first limiting portion is separated from the second limiting portion; when the first limiting portion is connected with the second limiting portion, the two limiting portions are matched with each other to limit rotation of the rotating assembly; when separated, limiting of the rotating assembly is released.
Portable information device
A portable information device capable of supporting a display is described. The portable information device includes a first chassis member and a second chassis member connected mutually rotatable, a first support plate that supports a display on the side of the first chassis member, a second support plate that supports the display on the side of the second chassis member, a first locking member including a first fixing portion to be fixed to the rear face of the first support plate with adhesive, and a first locking piece projecting from one end face of the first support plate, the first locking piece being configured to come in contact with and separate from the rear face of the second support plate. The first support plate includes a first contact face with which the first locking member comes in contact and a first adhesive face that fixes the first locking member with the adhesive. The first adhesive face is recessed from the first contact face by a thickness of the adhesive.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is an electronic device. The electronic device includes: a main body mounted with an electronic unit including a controller, including a bezel disposed at the outer side thereof, and having a locking groove formed in the bezel; and a band part mounted with an additional device for exchanging an electric signal with the electronic unit and an electronic part providing information related to the additional device for the electronic unit, and including a coupling part detachably coupled to the locking groove. Here, the controller switches an operation mode of the main body according to the information related to the additional device provided by the electronic part when the main body and the band part are coupled to each other. Thus, when the band part mounted with the additional device is connected to the main body, the operation mode of the main body is automatically switched to a mode corresponding to the additional device, thereby providing convenience of use.
MODULAR WEARABLE SMART BAND WITH INTERCHANGEABLE FUNCTIONAL UNITS
Modular smartband can include a plurality of coupled modules. The plurality of modules can include at least one core module having at least one processor and at least one peripheral module. Each of the plurality of modules has a coupler end and a receiving end disposed on opposing ends of the module, the coupler end configured to be received in the receiving end of an adjacent module. At least one of the plurality of modules can include a display and at least one the plurality of modules includes a battery.
ROLLABLE DISPLAY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A rollable display device includes a rollable structure including a plurality of unit structures, the rollable structure being rollable and unrollable based on the unit structures, and a display panel structure attached to the rollable structure, wherein respective widths of the unit structures increase in a direction from a first side of the rollable structure to a second side of the rollable structure, the first side of the rollable structure being opposite to the second side of the rollable structure, and wherein each of the unit structures includes a metal plate, the metal plate being bent by a bending limit angle in a direction in which the rollable structure is rolled, and a magnetic object on a side region of the metal plate, the magnetic object being magnetically coupled to an adjacent metal plate.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO OPERATE CLOSED-LID PORTABLE COMPUTERS
Methods and apparatus to operate closed-lid portable computers are disclosed. An example portable computer includes a first display on a lid of the portable computer, the first display to be deactivated when the lid is in a closed position; a second display distinct from the first display, the second display to be visible when the lid is in the closed position; instructions; and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to cause activation of the first display in response to a user interaction with the second display while the lid is in the closed position.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND LOCKING ASSEMBLY THEREOF
An electronic device includes a first case, a second case, and a locking assembly. The first case includes a first fixing surface, and the first fixing surface has a locking part. The second case includes a second fixing surface and two receiving grooves, and the two receiving grooves are respectively arranged on two sides of the second fixing surface. The locking assembly includes a buckle and two elastic elements. The buckle has a hook part and fixing rods. The fixing rods are arranged on two sides of the hook part. One end of each of the fixing rods abuts against the second fixing surface and slides relative to the second fixing surface, and another end of each of the fixing rods extends into the corresponding receiving groove. The hook part is configured to buckle to the locking part.
Flexible display computing devices
Reconfigurable touch screen computing devices with folding configurations that include flexible displays made up of segments reconfigured from a folded state to an expanded state are described. The form factor of the folded state is the size of a handheld phone (including an integrated speaker and microphone). The form factor of the expanded state is the size of a tablet computer. Both states provide a configuration including a touch screen display on a front side and a protective housing on a back side. The computing devices include sensors indicating the state and mechanisms for folding, alignment, and structural support, and magnets for the devices to be locked in the folded or unfolded state. A module attached to at least one segment may contain substantially all processing and memory, and a communications system, all which may be used in either state.
SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING A PORTABLE COMPUTER
A portable computer system comprising at least two flat screen displays that is configurable so that in a stowed state, the system is conveniently carried and the flat screens are protected.
