Application programming interface (API) request throttling

Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for application programming interface (API) request throttling. A request throttling system monitors incoming API requests and applies delays to repeated API requests to avoid an overload and/or disruption in service. Upon receiving an API request from a requesting device, the request throttling system determines a counter value that is used to determine whether to apply a delay to API request. The counter value indicates a number or previous requests received from the requesting device that were directed to the same resource and which resulted in an error. The request throttling system compares the counter value to a threshold value to determine whether to apply a delay to the API request. Applying a delay reduces the speed at which subsequent repeat API requests are received from the requesting device, while still allowing for API requests from the requesting device to be processed.

Terminal controlling method and terminal therefor

A method of controlling a terminal is provided. The method includes determining a current status of at least one of the terminal and a peripheral environment of the terminal based on information obtained by using at least one sensor from a predetermined list of a plurality of statuses regarding the terminal or the peripheral environment of the terminal, determining an operation schedule of the at least one sensor based on the determined current status and the information obtained by using the at least one sensor, and controlling the at least one sensor to operate based on the determined operation schedule.

Container in container method to confine privileged mode execution during host data exchange in a containerized environment

A disclosed method for implementing containers in an information handling system generates, with a first non-privileged container, a request that is sent to a RESTful API. Whenever the API identifies a request requiring host access the API launches a second container, which is configured to operate in a privileged execution mode. The second container accesses the host and executes the requested actions. When the request completes, the first container resumes non-privileged execution, thereby confining privileged mode execution to a container that is only active during host interaction. The host access can be access required to: exchange data with the host, query the host for hardware information, and modify host configuration. The host may be implanted within a device featuring an HCI infrastructure. In one configuration, the host resides of one of multiple distinct nodes of an HCI appliance.

System and method for tuning a graphical highlight set to improve hierarchical layout editing

The present embodiments relate generally to integrated circuit design, and more particularly to techniques that automatically and dynamically create or adjust a highlight set in a graphical user interface for allowing designers to edit layouts in a hierarchical design in a more productive manner. According to certain aspects, in dense designs and/or designs having complete or partial overlapping shapes, embodiments allow for highlighting more than one hierarchy level with tuned parameters that improve the user experience and enhance user work productivity. According to other aspects, embodiments allow for highlighting shapes using colors and/or widths that allow both highlight and shape to be clearly visible and distinguishable.

System and method for tuning a graphical highlight set to improve hierarchical layout awareness and editing

The present embodiments relate generally to integrated circuit design, and more particularly to techniques for providing enhanced visual information about a shape of interest in a hierarchical design. For example, embodiments relate to automatically and dynamically creating or adjust a highlight set in a graphical user interface for providing hierarchical information about shapes in a hierarchical design in a more productive manner, and possibly concurrently with other textual information about shapes that is being displayed. In these and other embodiments, these automatic and/or dynamic highlight sets can be based on the relationship between a current cursor position and shapes of a hierarchical design that is currently being edited using a GUI of a layout editor tool that is adapted with the functionality of the present disclosure.

Systems and methods for performing functions are disclosed herein. An example non-transitory computer-readable storage medium may store one or more programs, and the one or more programs may comprise instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, cause the computing device to obtain a scanned code, analyze the scanned code to identify a direct action associated with the scanned code, and automatically invoke the one or more functions corresponding to the direct action. The direct action may include sending instructions or data or both to another computing device.
