STORING SEMI-STRUCTURED DATA
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for storing semi-structured data. One of the methods includes maintaining a plurality of schemas; receiving a first semi-structured data item; determining that the first semi-structured data item does not match any of the schemas in the plurality of schemas; and in response to determining that the first semi-structured data item does not match any of the schemas in the plurality of schemas: generating a new schema, encoding the first semi-structured data item in the first data format to generate the first new encoded data item in accordance with the new schema, storing the first new encoded data item in the data item repository, and associating the first new encoded data item with the new schema.

Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) including outgoing USPTO correspondence for use in patent case management and docketing
Methods, systems and software include programmatically downloading over the Internet, at routine intervals of time as well as on demand, from an online computer system of the USPTO, data relating to patent properties that are associated with a customer number; and creating a docket based on the downloaded data, generating and displaying a report generated from the downloaded data, sending an alert (email or text message) that is based on the downloaded data, or any combination thereof. Outgoing correspondence of the USPTO is provided in PDF format for review by a user. Data specific to a particular client also is provided to the client programmatically, with reports, alerts, docketing, or any combination thereof, further being provided for use by the client.
Dynamic field data translation to support high performance stream data processing
Improved computer technology is disclosed for enabling high performance stream processing on data such as complex, hierarchical data. In an example embodiment, a dynamic field schema specifies a dynamic field format for expressing the incoming data. An incoming data stream is then translated according to the dynamic field schema into an outgoing data stream in the dynamic field format. Stream processing, including field-specific stream processing, can then be performed on the outgoing data stream.

Integrating a plurality of third party service interactions into a portal system
Integrating a plurality of third party service interactions into a portal including a Web content management system includes receiving a data structure, associating the data structure with a selected profile out of a plurality of profiles based on the origin of the data structure, and transforming content of the received data structure, using a declarative mapping associated with the selected profile, into an intermediate data structure. The intermediate data structure may be provided to a presentation layer of the portal. A signal causing a rendering of the intermediate data structure may be triggered via a portlet of the portal to a display. Captured input from the portlet from the intermediate data structure may be transformed to the data structure using the declarative mapping associated with the selected profile. The data structure may be sent.

Calculation engine for performing calculations based on dependencies in a self-describing data system
A method includes receiving a request to modify a first value of a first field of a first item in a self-describing data system, and obtaining a domain comprising items in the self-describing data system. The first item and a second item are included in items, and the second item comprises a second field having a second value. The method includes calculating, based on a rule of the second field, a dependency of the second value on the first value. The rule specifies how the second value is to be calculated using the first value. The method includes modifying, based on the request, the first value. The method includes receiving an event triggered by the modification to the first value. The method includes, responsive to the event, calculating the second value based on the rule, and storing the second value in the second field.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a mapper that determines a mapping candidate corresponding to a description included in the input data from among hierarchically structured classes or properties included in a standard data model. The mapper detects a class or a property that exactly matches or partially matches, with respect to a schema included in the input data and a content thereof, the content from a class hierarchical structure of the standard data model and a set of properties defined for a class, and determines a first mapping candidate based on the detected class or property.
Systems and methods for generating an edit script
A method for generating a hierarchical edit script comprises generating, using a first linear sequence of nodes of a first hierarchical dataset and a second linear sequence of nodes of a second hierarchical dataset, a linear edit script defining a linear sequence of operations that can be applied to the first linear sequence to generate the second linear sequence, generating a first delta by matching one or more operations of the linear sequence of operations to the first hierarchical dataset, generating a second delta by matching one or more operations of the linear sequence of operations to the second hierarchical dataset, and generating the hierarchical edit script by merging the first delta and the second delta.
