Event producer system of a messaging platform for delivering real-time messages

This disclosure relates to streaming real-time messages over time to client applications according to query subscriptions that match content from a large stream of messages exchanged on a messaging platform in a manner that increases the speed of message delivery, effectively controls the management of computer resources to handle the fluctuation of the number of active query subscriptions, and/or increases the security of matching the query subscriptions against messages generated from the perspective of the authors while delivering those messages in real-time from the perspective of the users that initiated the query subscriptions.

Information provision device, information provision method, and program

To enable provision of appropriate information for a user query even in a case there are multiple information provision modules which are different in answer generation processing. A query sending unit 212 sends a user query to each one of a plurality of information provision module units 220 that are different in the answer generation processing and that each generate an answer candidate for the user query. An output control unit 214 performs control such that the answer candidate acquired from each one of the plurality of information provision module units 220 is displayed on a display unit 300 on a per-agent basis with information on an agent associated with that information provision module unit 220.

Enriched Calendar Events

Computerized systems for providing a personalized computing experience are provided through enriched calendar event data. The enriched calendar event data provides an event type, additional location data for the calendar event, and the likely user attendance. To determine the enriched calendar event data, a user location pattern, and a calendar event pattern are determined. As future calendar events are detected, a set of features for the future calendar events is determined. Past calendar events having features similar to the detected future calendar event can then be determined. A user location for the similar past calendar events can be determined to form a user behavior pattern model indicating a user location for the similar past calendar events. A predicted user location for the future calendar event can be determined based upon the similar past calendar events and the user behavior pattern model.

CONTEXT-DEPENDENT DIGITAL ACTION-ASSISTANCE TOOL

A computer-implemented technique is described herein for facilitating a user's repeated execution of the same computer-implemented actions. The technique performs this task by determining patterns in the manner in which the user repeats requests associated with certain computer-implemented actions. For example, the technique determines context-dependent patterns in the manner in which the user submits search requests to a search system. The technique then leverages those patterns by proactively providing a request-assistance tool to the user in those context-specific circumstances in which the user is likely to perform the repetitive computer-implemented actions. The digital action-assistance tool provides various kinds of assistance to the user in performing the repetitive computer-implemented actions.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING FOR DISPLAY RECOMMENDATIONS THAT ARE TEMPORALLY RELEVANT TO ACTIVITIES OF A USER AND ARE CONTEXTUALLY RELEVANT TO A PORTION OF A MEDIA ASSET THAT THE USER IS CONSUMING
20230007357 · 2023-01-05 ·

Systems and methods are provided herein for displaying recommendations that are temporally relevant to activities of a user and are contextually relevant to a portion of viewed media. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application identifying activities a user has planned, as well as respective times for which each of the plurality of activities was planned to be performed by the user. The media guidance application may filter the activities by determining which of the first plurality of activities has a corresponding respective time that is within a threshold period of time. The media guidance application may then identify characteristics of each filtered activity and of a media asset that the user is consuming at the present moment, and may compute whether the characteristics match. If the characteristics match, the media guidance application may generate for display a recommendation relating to the respective activity.

Adaptive data retrieval with runtime authorization

Methods and systems are disclosed for data retrieval, from databases to clients, in an environment requiring runtime authorization. In response to a request for T data records, a learning module provides a prediction R of a suitable number of data records to retrieve from a database. Following retrieval of R records or record identifiers, authorization is sought from an authorization service, resulting in A of the records being authorized. The A authorized records are returned to the requesting client, and, if more records are needed, T is decremented and the cycle is repeated. A performance notification is provided to the learning module for training, with respect to providing values of prediction R. The performance notification can be based on a measure of authorization service performance, the number A of authorized records, latency, communication or resource costs, a measure of resource congestion, or other parameters. Variants are disclosed.

Graphical representation of a complex task

Systems and methods are provided for storing data representing respective sub-elements of a complex task. Data representing one or more links between two or more sub-elements is stored, the links indicating a dependency between said sub-elements. A work order is calculated based on the identified links. A graphical representation of the calculated work order which indicates said sub-elements and their dependencies is provided. The links may indicate a temporal dependency of a second sub-element on a first sub-element and in which the provided graphical representation presents the temporal relationship of the sub-elements. Historical data may be received for association with one or more selected links or sub-elements, the historical data related to a prior event and which affects the temporal relationship between the sub-elements. An updated work order modified by the historical data may be calculated. An updated graphical representation of the work order may be provided.

Search method, electronic device and storage medium

The present disclosure provides a search method, an electronic device and a storage medium, and belongs to a technical field of the Internet. The method includes: determining a first set of features corresponding to an original search statement by parsing the original search statement; obtaining each initial search result corresponding to the original search statement; determining a second set of features corresponding to an initial search result by parsing a title of the initial search result; determining a rewritten search statement corresponding to the original search statement and the initial search result by codecing the first set of features and the second set of features; and obtaining a supplementary search result corresponding to the rewritten search statement.

MAPS AUTO-COMPLETE THROUGH QUERY EXPANSION

The present disclosure relates to systems, devices, and methods for suggesting geographic results to a user. The systems, devices, and methods may include receiving a prefix for a geographic query and ranking received candidate results for the prefix of the geographic query. The systems, devices, and methods may provide a query expansion based on a highest ranked candidate result. The systems, devices, and methods may determine a likelihood of the user selecting the query expansion, and if the likelihood exceeds a threshold, provide the query expansion.

Indexing and presenting content using latent interests

Systems and methods are disclosed for a system to provide an interface that is dynamic and that provides selectable links in response to a query for products in an electronic marketplace, where the selectable links are titled with the query and portions of reviews for products associated with the query. The system is configured to select feedback for items purchased from an electronic marketplace. Descriptors from the feedback are generated. In response to a query for the one or more of the items in the electronic marketplace, a determination is made that portions of the descriptors provide detail responsive to the query. An interface is displayed including selectable links titled with the query in combination with the portions of the descriptors. In response to selection of one of the selectable links, a portion of the items are displayed.
