A method for per-viewing and per-timeframe commerce includes: creating and transmitting, over a network, by a server-side computing device, a message or packet comprising one or more of user's unique identifier, selected viewing identifier, customization preferences of the user, media content unique identifier, per-viewing identifier, per-timeframe identifier, and sub-account preferences of the user, of one or more of media content and product merchandise, the customization preferences and sub-account preferences of the user obtained by the client device, and customized by the server-side computing device, the per-viewing identifier and per-timeframe identifier, processed by the server-side computing device computing device using one or more of a media content provider's unique identifier and media content database, obtained by a client device, to display tile images associated with the media content unique identifier, and streamed or downloaded, over the network, to a client-side playback device that is substantially synchronized with the server-side computing device.

The supplemental content relating to the digital good may be received, where the supplemental content may be for presentation to a consumer. The supplemental content may be stored in accompaniment with the digital good. Ownership criteria associated with ownership rights of the supplemental content may be determined. The ownership rights corresponding to the supplemental content may be transferred from a first entity to a second entity based, at least in part, on the determined ownership criteria. The second entity may be authorized to access the supplemental content based, at least in part, on the determined ownership criteria. The supplemental content may be caused to be distributed to the second entity.

The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, a program, an electronic device, and an information processing system that enable use of a time-limited floating license in an electronic device that does not directly communicate with an information processing device that provides a floating license. An information processing device includes a license management unit that sets at least one of a first use start date and time or a first use end date and time of a license to be provided to a first electronic device on the basis of a date and time of a hardware clock, and responds to return of the license from the first electronic device and provision of a second electronic device with the license returned from the first electronic device until the date and time of the hardware clock pass a first valid period with reference to the first use start date and time or pass the first use end date and time. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a server that provides a floating license.

SHARED PURCHASES
One or more user accounts can be linked together to form a group of linked user accounts to access content items assigned to the other user accounts in the group of linked user accounts. Prior to completing a purchase for a content item, a requesting user can be alerted that a member of the group of linked user accounts has access to the content item. Content items assigned to a member of a group of linked user accounts can be downloaded by one or more other members of the group of linked user accounts along with a Digital Rights Management (DRM) key that enables use of the content item. The DRM key can represent the group relationship between the downloading user account and the content owner's user account to which the content item is assigned.
Authentication
A software license distribution system is arranged for connection between an external software provider and one or more end user clients and provides licenses to access a software service. A storage portion stores a license pool provided by the provider. A request for a software license from a requesting end user client includes a user credential. A verification logic is arranged to verify the user credential by comparing it to a stored database of authorised credentials. A decision logic is arranged such that, when the user is verified, it determines whether there is an available license in the license pool. When there is an available license key, the available license key is selected, but when there is not an available license key, the decision logic requests a new license key from the external software provider. The decision logic is arranged to produce a cryptographic token comprising the selected license key using a cryptographic function and to send the cryptographic token to the requesting end user client and to record the cryptographic token and the user credential as a linked pair in a database.

The present technology relates to an electronic device, an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a program, and an information processing system capable of improving convenience in a case where a floating license is used in an electronic device that does not directly communicate with an information processing apparatus providing the floating license. The information processing apparatus includes: a storage control unit that controls a storage unit to store a combination of a device unique key and an installation key, the device unique key being a key unique to an electronic device, and the installation key being a key for installing a license to the electronic device; and a license management unit that updates information regarding a status of the license in a case where a combination of the device unique key corresponding to license return information and the installation key corresponding to installation key information in the license return information coincides with a combination stored in the storage unit, the license return information being information including the installation key information corresponding to the installation key and generated by the electronic device. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a server.
Availability of permission models in roaming environments
A request for a digital license associated with a software product is received from a device. The request includes a user ID of a user of the device, with the digital license having been generated in response to a request to activate the software product with a product key. A check is made as to whether a digital license bound to the user ID is available, and also whether the digital license can be returned to the device in accordance with the terms of the digital license. The digital license is returned if the digital license can be returned to the device in accordance with the terms (regardless of whether the device is a same device from which the product key was activated), and otherwise is not returned. The digital license can be removed from the device in accordance with the terms of the digital license.
