Electronic devices with a motor that includes a stator with a non-uniform radius of curvature
A fan motor suitable for use in an electronic device, such as a consumer electronic device, is disclosed. The fan motor includes a stator and a rotor. In order to minimize a varying torque applied to the rotor, the stator includes modifications. For example, the stator includes stator teeth, each with an arc defined by a radius of curvature that varies. The radius (from a reference point to the arc) can vary in accordance with a sinusoidal curve. Furthermore, the corners of each stator tooth may be rounded. The rounded corners of the stator teeth may include a uniform (or constant, non-varying) radius of curvature. These enhancement are designed to provide a more uniform torque by the stator to the rotor. As a result, the rotation of the rotor is subject to smaller fluctuations, and the fan motor undergoes less vibration and generates less acoustical noise.
Video processing apparatus
A video processing system including a video processing apparatus (VPA) including: a housing having a top wall with a top wall periphery, a top surface extending to the top wall periphery, and a central area; an input port adapted to receive video input signals from a videoscope; an output connector adapted to transmit video output signals; and a bracket interface supported by the housing and adapted to support a support bracket including a first retention feature, bracket interface located within the central area of the top wall and comprising a bracket base receptacle and a second retention feature, the bracket base receptacle sized and shaped to receive a base end of the support bracket, and the second retention feature sized and shaped to cooperate with the first retention feature to removably retain the base end of the support bracket.
TOUCH PANEL WITH HAPTICAL FEEDBACK AND REDUCED REFLECTION
A touch panel system is provided, which comprises a display unit, a touch sensor structure and a coverglass. A user touches the coverglass during touch input to the touch sensor structure, and the coverglass is configured to be moved relative to the display unit for providing haptical feedback to the user. Therein, the coverglass is mounted in a predetermined distance d from the display unit such that the coverglass and the display unit are decoupled from each other by an empty space to define opposite internal surfaces, which are coated with an anti-reflecting coating such as a moth eye film.
Electronic devices with a deployable flexible display
Examples disclosed herein provide electronic devices with a flexible display. An example electronic device includes an enclosure, a flexible display deployable from the enclosure, where a viewing angle of the flexible display with respect to the enclosure is adjustable. The electronic device includes a mechanism to autonomously deploy and retract the flexible display within the enclosure, and a supporting structure to reinforce the flexible display when deployed from the enclosure.
ALL-IN-ONE COMPUTER AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A display control method applicable to an all-in-one (AIO) computer is provided. The AIO computer includes a first monitor and a second monitor. The display control method includes: receiving a control instruction from the first monitor; projecting a display content on the second monitor according to the control instruction; and selectively enabling a touch control function of the second monitor according to the control instruction.
LOW PROFILE COMPUTER SUPPORT
Low-profile computer supports include features to reduce the thickness and improve the portability or storage capability of a computer system while it is disassembled, packaged, shipped, or moved. Some computer systems have a computing device and a dock device that can be stored and moved separately or that can store or support accessories associated with the computer system. Some computer systems have a movable stand configured to transition between a collapsed state and a deployed or standing state. Some stands include handles or grips for moving the computer systems while collapsed. Other computer systems include handles or grips to provide areas to more easily carry the computer systems. The handles or grips can have features such as a flexible material to hide or mask their appearance on the computer system.
Speaker assembly in a display assistant device
In a display assistant device, a speaker is mounted in a waveguide structure which is at least partially disposed beneath a display screen. The waveguide structure is mounted in an exterior housing which includes speaker grills distributed on a plurality of surfaces of the exterior housing, permitting sound waves from the speaker to be projected outside the exterior housing. A cover structure is disposed on top of the waveguide structure to conceal the waveguide structure and speaker within the exterior housing. The cover structure has a tilted bottom surface configured to be suspended above the waveguide structure and to be separated by a first space. Sound waves projected from an upper portion of the speaker are reflected by the tilted bottom surface and are guided through the first space to exit the device from a speaker grill portion located on a rear side of the exterior housing.
Display assistant device
This application is directed to a display assistant device that acts as a voice-activated user interface device. The display assistant device includes a base, a screen and a speaker. The base is configured for sitting on a surface. The screen has a rear surface and is supported by the base at the rear surface. A bottom edge of the screen is configured to be held above the surface by a predefined height, and the base is substantially hidden behind the screen from a front view of the display assistant device. The speaker is concealed inside the base and configured to project sound substantially towards the front view of the display assistant device.
Cartridge-based computing system
A cartridge-based computing system includes a display stand that connects to a compute module cartridge including a first securing member, a second securing member, and a release member coupled to the second securing member. The display stand defines a securing aperture that engages the first securing member when the compute module cartridge is connected to the display stand, which causes the first securing member to engage a securing element on the display stand and move it into engagement with the second securing member to connect the compute module cartridge to the display stand. The securing element may then be engaged by the release member to move it out of engagement with the second securing member, and into engagement with the first securing member to cause the securing aperture to disengage the first securing member and disconnect the compute module cartridge from the display stand.
