20230049881 · 2023-02-16 ·

An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes communication circuitry, a display, memory and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: establishing, by control of the processor, a communicative connection to an external device via the communication circuitry; receiving via the communicative connection, auto-complete text input information from the external device; storing, in the memory, the received auto-complete text input information, for usage with a keyboard process of the electronic device; and displaying, via a display, a recommended word, based on the stored auto-complete text input information, wherein the auto-complete text input information includes at least one of user data including complete words for recommendation as predictive text, generated from collecting and applying artificial-intelligence (AI) self-learning on words frequently utilized by a user, and user-defined text shortcuts configured by the user which associate an incomplete input with a completed word for usage as the predictive text.

Game controller with touchpad input

A game controller includes a touchpad that a user, viewing a virtual keyboard on a screen, can soft-touch to move a cursor on the screen and then hard-touch to move the cursor and also send location data to a processor for inputting a letter from the virtual keyboard. Machine learning is used to predict a next letter or next word.

TEXT INPUT APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING SPEECH RECOGNITION PERFORMANCE AND METHOD USING THE SAME

Disclosed herein are a text input apparatus for improving speech recognition performance and a method using the same. The text input method may include arranging all characters on an input screen including multiple key input areas in consideration of usage frequency of respective characters and usage association between the characters, setting input schemes for all the characters in consideration of positions of the multiple key input areas and positions of characters arranged in each key input area, and inputting characters through touch-based input corresponding to the input schemes.

Methods and systems for predicting keystrokes using a unified neural network

Methods and systems for predicting keystrokes using a neural network analyzing cumulative effects of a plurality of factors impacting the typing behavior of a user. The factors may include typing pattern, previous keystrokes, specifics of keyboard used for typing, and contextual parameters pertaining to a device displaying the keyboard and the user. A plurality of features may be extracted and fused to obtain a plurality of feature vectors. The plurality of feature vectors can be optimized and processed by the neural network to identify known features and learn unknown features that are impacting the typing behavior. Thereby, the neural network predicts keystrokes using the known and unknown features.

Client device processing received emoji-first messages

A client device processing received emoji messages using emoji-first messaging. Text messaging is automatically converted to emojis by an emoji-first application so that only emojis are communicated from one client device to another client device. Each client device has a library of emojis that are mapped to words, which libraries are customizable and unique to the users of the client devices, such that the users can communicate secretly in code. Upon receipt of a string of emojis, a user can select the emoji string to convert to text if desired, for a predetermined period of time.

CURSOR OPERATION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INPUT METHOD
20180011549 · 2018-01-11 · ·

Cursor operation methods and devices for input method are disclosed. According to the method, in an interface of a common candidate word selection mode of an input method, switching to an edit string cursor slide mode or a candidate column cursor slide mode is allowed, and, after entering the edit string cursor slide mode or the candidate column cursor slide mode, switching between the two modes is allowed. In the edit string cursor slide mode, sliding of the position of the cursor in an edit string is allowed by slide operation in an input area, and operations such as editing can be performed on the edit string. In the candidate item cursor slide mode, sliding of the position of the cursor in a candidate item string is allowed by slide operation in the input area.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BIOMECHANICALLY-BASED EYE SIGNALS FOR INTERACTING WITH REAL AND VIRTUAL OBJECTS

Systems and methods are provided for discerning the intent of a device wearer primarily based on movements of the eyes. The system may be included within unobtrusive headwear that performs eye tracking and controls screen display. The system may also utilize remote eye tracking camera(s), remote displays and/or other ancillary inputs. Screen layout is optimized to facilitate the formation and reliable detection of rapid eye signals. The detection of eye signals is based on tracking physiological movements of the eye that are under voluntary control by the device wearer. The detection of eye signals results in actions that are compatible with wearable computing and a wide range of display devices.

Electronic apparatus for providing a virtual keyboard and controlling method thereof

Disclosed are an electronic apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The electronic apparatus includes a camera, a display, a memory, and a processor configured to execute at least one instruction to: detect a plurality of fingers in a plurality of first image frames obtained through the camera and, in response to an identification that a pose of the plurality of detected fingers corresponds to a trigger pose, enter a character input mode, detect a first motion of a finger among the plurality of fingers in a plurality of second image frames obtained through in the character input mode, identify a key corresponding to the first motion, from among a plurality of keys mapped to the finger, based on a position of the finger by the first motion and a reference point set to the finger, and control the display to display information corresponding to the identified key.
