The knock cam mechanism includes a knock portion including a part protruding outward from an opening at a second end of the tubular casing, and is configured to cause a tip of the first position indicator to protrude from, or be housed within, an opening at a first end of the tubular casing. The holding mechanism, in the state in which the tip of the first position indicator protrudes from the opening at the first end, returns the knock portion pushed into the tubular casing to a state of protruding from the opening at the second end such that at least a tip of the second position indicator protrudes outward.

PROCESSOR FOR CONTROLLING INPUT BY ELECTRONIC PEN AND METHOD PERFORMED BY COMPUTER USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ELECTRONIC PEN
20220382392 · 2022-12-01 ·

Provided is a processing device for controlling input by an electronic pen. The electronic pen includes a side switch disposed on a side surface of the electronic pen and a device that obtains contact information indicating whether or not a pen tip of the electronic pen is in contact with a panel. The processing device includes a processor and a memory storing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processing device to: obtain switch information indicating a depression state of the side switch, determine whether or not the pen tip is in contact with the panel based on the contact information, output the switch information when the pen tip is not determined to be in contact with the panel, and disable a value of the switch information when the pen tip is determined to be in contact with the panel.

POSITION DETECTION APPARATUS AND POSITION DETECTION METHOD
20220365649 · 2022-11-17 ·

Disclosed is a detection method performed by a sensor controller connected to a sensor including a plurality of sensor electrodes, the method detecting, with use of the sensor, a position of a passive pointer that does not transmit a signal and a position of an active pen that transmits a pen signal from a pen electrode provided on an end of the active pen. The method includes acquiring a pen pressure value indicating pressure applied to a pen tip of the active pen, and controlling an operation mode of the sensor controller according to the pen pressure value.

STYLUS PEN

A stylus pen includes a hollow pen tube, a circuit board, a pen core body, a stopping member, and a positioning assembly. The hollow pen tube extends along an axial direction and includes a pen tip end and a pen tail end. The circuit board includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is provided with a trigger element. The second surface faces the pen tail end. The stopping member is disposed in a pen tip chamber and adjacent to the first surface. The positioning assembly is disposed in a pen body chamber and includes a wedge-shaped fixing base and a limiting member. The wedge-shaped fixing base has an inclined surface. The limiting member is assembled on the inclined surface and abuts against the second surface, so that the first surface leans against the stopping member.

STYLUS HAPTIC OUTPUT

Examples are disclosed relating to providing haptic output to a stylus. In one example, rotational position data indicating a rotational position of the stylus about a longitudinal axis of the body of the stylus is received. Travel direction data indicating a direction of travel of a tip of the stylus relative to a touch-sensitive screen of a computing device is also received. Using at least the rotational position data and the travel direction data, one or more characteristics of a drive signal are determined. The drive signal is then transmitted to a haptic feedback mechanism within the body of the stylus to generate haptic output at the body.

Electronic pen core body and electronic pen

Provided is an electronic pen core body including a tip component portion coupled to an axis component portion. At least one end of the axis component portion in an axial direction is made of a material that is harder than a material from which the tip component portion is made. The axis component portion includes a recessed hole and a fitting portion directly or indirectly fitted to a pen pressure detector. The tip component portion includes a tip portion protruding from the one end of the axis component portion in the axial direction, a coupling core portion disposed within the recessed hole and coupled to an inner wall surface of the recessed hole of the axis component portion, and a second ring-shaped end surface that contacts a first ring-shaped end surface of the axis component portion. The first ring-shaped end surface is covered by the second ring-shaped end surface.

Aggregated multidimensional user interface display with electronic pen for holographic projection

A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for generating an aggregated user interface display. The aggregated user interface display includes a physical display of a computing device and a projected display from an electronic pen. Operator interactions with the aggregated user interface display are saved as historical information. The historical information is used to determine a configuration for the aggregated user interface display. The computing device and the electronic pen are controlled to implement the configuration for the aggregated user interface display.
