A memory system may include a first set of memory cells of a first type associated with a first performance level and a second set of memory cells of a second type associated with a second performance level. The memory system may have an interface and a control circuit coupled with the first and second sets of memory cells. The control circuit may be configured to determine a first parameter associated with a transition between the first performance level and the second performance level. The control circuit may also be configured to store the first parameter in a first register based at least in part on determining the first parameter.

A recording control apparatus configured to access a plurality of recording media, includes a control unit configured to set a temperature threshold of each of first and second recording media, a functional restriction being imposed on the recording medium at the temperature threshold, wherein the control unit is configured to, in recording data read from the first recording medium into the second recording medium, make a first setting for the first recording medium and a second setting for the second recording medium, where the first setting includes setting the temperature threshold of the recording medium at which the functional restriction is imposed on the recording medium to a default value of the recording medium, and the second setting includes setting the temperature threshold of the recording medium at which the functional restriction is imposed on the recording medium to a value greater than the default value of the recording medium.
STORAGE DEVICE AND A DATA BACKUP METHOD THEREOF
A data backup method of a storage device which includes a storage controller, a buffer memory, and a plurality of nonvolatile memory devices, the method including: detecting a power-off event of an external power provided to the storage device; deactivating a host interface of the storage controller in response to the detection of the power-off event: moving data stored in the buffer memory to a static random access memory (SRAM) in the storage controller; blocking or deactivating a power of the buffer memory; setting an interleaving mode of the plurality of nonvolatile memory devices to a minimum power mode; and programming the data moved to the SRAM to at least one of the plurality of nonvolatile memory devices.
Preventing Applications From Overconsuming Shared Storage Resources
Preventing applications from overconsuming shared storage resources, including: identifying one or more sub-regions of data stored on a storage device that are associated with an application of a known application type; compiling information describing the application's utilization of a storage system; determining that a storage system objective has not been met; and initiating, based on the information describing the application's utilization of the storage system, remediation actions.
DATA STORAGE BASED ON DATA POLARITY
Methods, systems, and devices for storing and reading data at a memory device are described. A memory device may utilize one or more storage states to store data within a data word. The memory device may exhibit higher data leakage or more power consumption when storing or reading a first storage state compared to storing or reading one or more other storage states. In some cases, the memory device may generate a second data word corresponding to a first data word by modifying each symbol type of the first data word to generate a different symbol type for the second data word. A memory device may reduce the occurrence of a storage state associated with large data leakage, or high-power consumption, or both. Further, the memory device may generate and store an indicator indicating the transformation of a corresponding data word.
DISK USAGE GROWTH PREDICTION SYSTEM
Certain embodiments described herein relate to an improved disk usage growth prediction system. In some embodiments, one or more components in an information management system can determine usage status data of a given storage device, perform a validation check on the usage status data using multiple prediction models, compare validation results of the multiple prediction models to identify the best performing prediction model, generate a disk usage growth prediction using the identified prediction model, and adjust the available space of the storage device according to the disk usage growth prediction.
Circuit, Chip, and Electronic Device
This application provides a circuit, a chip, and an electronic device. The circuit includes a first processor and a first processing module connected to the first processor. The first processing module includes a second processor connected to a first memory. A transmission latency generated when the second processor performs read and write operations on the first memory is less than a transmission latency generated when the first processor communicates with the first processing module. Because the transmission latency generated when the second processor performs the read and write operations on the first memory is less than the transmission latency generated when the first processor communicates with the first processing module, a cost of a transmission latency of data in a bus can be reduced.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR RECORDING MEDIUM INCLUDED IN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A method executed by an arithmetic circuit of one or a plurality of computers includes periodically collecting log information from an electronic device, inputting the log information collected before a current clock time from the electronic device to a prediction model, causing the prediction model to predict an abnormal or normal operating state of a recording medium after the current clock time, and transmitting replacement notification information that is based on a prediction result to the electronic device. The prediction model is generated by performing machine learning using, as training data, training log information collected within a predetermined period up to a reference clock time from a plurality of training electronic devices each including a training recording medium, and state information indicating an operating state of the training recording medium determined after the reference clock time.
ALLOCATING MEMORY AND REDIRECTING MEMORY WRITES IN A CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEM BASED ON TEMPERATURE OF MEMORY MODULES
Systems and methods for allocating memory and redirecting data writes based on temperature of memory modules in a cloud computing system are described. A method includes maintaining temperature profiles for a first plurality of memory modules and a second plurality of memory modules, The method includes automatically redirecting a first request to write to memory from a first compute entity being executed by the first processor to a selected one of a first plurality of memory chips, whose temperature does not meet or exceed the temperature threshold, included in at least the first plurality of memory modules and automatically redirecting a second request to write to memory from a second compute entity being executed by the second processor to a selected one of the second plurality of memory chips, whose temperature does not meet or exceed the temperature threshold, included in at least the second plurality of memory modules.
