Data management method and apparatus, and server
A data management method includes receiving, by a management server, a first request, determining, based on an identifier of a first user in the first request, whether a shadow tenant bucket associated with the identifier of the first user exists, and if the shadow tenant bucket associated with the identifier of the first user exists, storing, in the shadow tenant bucket associated with the identifier of the first user, an acceleration engine image (AEI) that the first user requests to register, where a shadow tenant bucket is used to store an AEI of a specified user, and each shadow tenant bucket is in a one-to-one correspondence with a user.
PREPOPULATING PAGE TABLES FOR MEMORY OF WORKLOADS DURING LIVE MIGRATIONS
A method of populating page tables of an executing workload during migration of the executing workload from a source host to a destination host includes the steps of: before resuming the workload at the destination host, populating the page tables of the workload at the destination host, wherein the populating comprises inserting mappings from virtual addresses of the workload to physical addresses of system memory of the destination host; and upon completion of populating the page tables, resuming the workload at the destination host.
HYPER-CONVERGENCE WITH SCHEDULER EXTENSIONS FOR SOFTWARE-DEFINED CONTAINER STORAGE SOLUTIONS
An illustrative computing system may include a master node that includes a prioritization module. The master node may be in communication with each of a plurality of containerized application nodes. The prioritization module may be configured to determine node prioritization information indicating a relative prioritization of the containerized application nodes for instantiating a designated containerized application, wherein the determining node prioritization information includes assigning a priority score to a candidate containerized application node, wherein higher priority is given based on a number of volumes stored on the candidate containerized application node that is designated for access by the designated containerized application.
Communication device and system with ground potential difference compensation
A communication device for connection with a power source and a host device is provided. The communication device comprises a device controller and a converter circuit. The device controller is adapted for data communication with the host device and the converter circuit is configured to provide a virtual device ground at least to the device controller, so as to compensate a ground potential difference between the host device and the communication device.
Storage system for migrating data between tiers
A storage system monitors the first access frequency of occurrence which is the access frequency of occurrence from a host device during a first period, and the second access frequency of occurrence which is the access frequency of occurrence from a host device during a second period shorter than the first period. Along with performing data relocation among the tiers (levels) in the first period cycle based on the first access frequency of occurrence, the storage system performs a decision whether or not to perform a second relocation based on the first access frequency of occurrence and the second access frequency of occurrence, synchronously with access from a host device. Here the threshold value utilized in a decision on whether or not to perform the first relocation is different from the threshold value utilized in a decision on whether or not to perform the second relocation.
IMMERSIVE DATA VISUALIZATION
A system and method for visualizing multiple datasets in a virtual 3-dimensional interactive environment. Multiple datasets may be related and virtually cast as 3-dimensional type structures. User interfaces, such as game controllers or headsets, may be used to present the dataset from differing perspectives including the appearance of moving through the data. Certain embodiments provide for mirror image views that allow for presentation of higher order datasets. Other embodiments provide for animation or motion indicia to show how the data is changing and the results on the display. The datasets may represent physical areas or virtual areas as well as demographic, sensors and financial information.
CROSS-SITE HIGH-AVAILABILITY DISTRIBUTED CLOUD STORAGE SYSTEM TO PROVIDE MULTIPLE VIRTUAL CHANNELS BETWEEN STORAGE NODES
Systems and methods are described for a cross-site high availability distributed storage system. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method includes providing a remote direct memory access (RDMA) request for a RDMA stream, and generating, with an interconnect (IC) layer of the first storage node, multiple IC channels and associated IC requests for the RDMA request. The method further includes mapping an IC channel to a group of multiple transport layer sessions to split data traffic of the IC channel into multiple packets for the group of multiple transport layer sessions using an IC transport layer of the first storage node and assigning, with the IC transport layer, a unique transaction identification (ID) to each IC request and assigning a different data offset to each packet of a transport layer session.
Node Interconnection Apparatus, Resource Control Node, and Server System
A node interconnection apparatus includes a computing node, a resource control node, and a device interconnection interface connecting the computing node and the resource control node. Each of the computing node and the resource control node includes a processing unit and a storage unit, and the resource control node further includes a resource interface for connecting with a network storage device. The resource control node manages a storage resource of the network storage device, and when the computing node needs to start up, the resource control node obtains operating system startup information from the network storage device and provides the operating system startup information to the computing node. The computing node can start up without the need for storing startup information locally.
Tracking storage consumption in a storage array
Attributing consumed storage capacity among entities storing data in a storage array includes: identifying a data object stored in the storage array and shared by a plurality of entities, where the data object occupies an amount of storage capacity of the storage array; and attributing to each entity a fractional portion of the amount of storage capacity occupied by the data object.
Data validity tracking in a non-volatile memory
A computer device reads an indicator from a configuration file that identifies a granularity of units of data at which to track validity. The granularity is one of a plurality of granularities ranging from one unit of data to many units of data. The computer device generates a machine-readable file configured to cause a processing device of a memory system to track validity at the identified granularity using a plurality of data validity counters with each data validity counter in the plurality of data validity counters tracking validity of a group of units of data at the identified granularity. The computer device transfers the machine-readable file to a memory of the memory system.
