Generally, a job management apparatus of the present embodiment which sends a print job to an image forming apparatus comprises a communication section and a controller. The communication section communicates with the image forming apparatus and a delivery apparatus configured to deliver a sheet printed by the image forming apparatus to a delivery destination. The controller calculates printing time relating to completion of execution of the print job by the image forming apparatus and first arrival time when the delivery apparatus reaches the image forming apparatus and enables the image forming apparatus to execute the print job at a timing when the image forming apparatus can complete the execution of the print job by the first arrival time.

According to one embodiment, a document processing device includes a plurality of storage units, a specification unit, and a processing unit. The storage units are set with respectively different setting information. The storage unit stores a processing target document. The specification unit specifies a processing target area determined by the setting information set in the storage unit for each of the documents respectively stored in the plurality of storage units. The processing unit executes, for each document, a predetermined process on a content located in the processing target area specified by the specification unit.

An information processing apparatus includes a communication interface and a controller. The printing device is configured to print on a printing medium. The controller is configured to perform a service provision process for providing a service utilizing a printing device. The controller is configured to perform the service provision process using individual information of the printing device and contract identification information associated with both the individual information and service information related to provision of the service. The service provision process includes: (a) registering a user in association with contract identification information associated with individual information of a first printing device; and (b) when the first printing device is replaced with a second printing device and the provision of the service is continued utilizing the second printing device, associating individual information of the second printing device with the contract identification information associated with the user registered in the (a) registering.

An apparatus includes a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores conflict information indicating that a setting for printing a predetermined number of pages on one surface of one sheet conflicts with a setting for punching a plurality of rows of holes in the one sheet. The control unit performs control to prohibit generation of a print command including the printing and punching settings based on the conflict information stored in the storage unit.

A display/input device has a display portion and a touch panel portion. The display portion displays selection keys and displays a setting screen of a selected setting item. The touch panel portion is provided for the display portion to detect a touch position of user input and a tap-and-drag operation in which while a touch is maintained the touched position is moved. When a tap-and-drag operation is detected within the display position of a selection key, the display portion displays a setting item explanation screen that explains the setting item corresponding to the selection key at the position where the tap-and-drag operation has been made.

A printing apparatus is configured to communicate with a terminal device via a local area network and an external device via the internet. The printing apparatus includes an input interface, a print device, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform: receiving specific image data representing the specific image from the terminal device; determining whether the input of the print instruction is required for printing the specific image; when it is determined that the input of the print instruction is required, transmitting the specific image data to the external device, receiving the print instruction via the input interface, acquiring the specific image data from the external device in response to the receipt of the print instruction, and printing the specific image with the print device.

A management system includes an information processing apparatus that stores management information about cartridges that store consumables and is configured to update the stored management information, and an image forming apparatus configured to print an image on a sheet using the consumables stored in an attached cartridge, storing cartridge information about a cartridge that has been previously attached to the image forming apparatus, and configured to, when a cartridge is attached, retrieve cartridge information from the attached cartridge as first cartridge information and the stored cartridge information as second cartridge information, and transmit the first and second cartridge information to the processing apparatus. Upon receipt of the cartridge information, the processing apparatus determines whether the attached cartridge is a refilled cartridge, and if so, updates the management information so that the cartridge is identified as a refilled cartridge. The processing apparatus transmits a determination result to the image forming apparatus.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing instructions executable by a controller of an information processing apparatus. When executed by the controller, the instructions realize a support program corresponding to a printer connected to the information processing apparatus. When a print instruction is input through a printing program, the support program causes the information processing apparatus to obtain printer information stored in a memory, the printing program being implemented, in advance, in an operating system of the information processing apparatus. When driver identifying information is contained in the printer information and a printer driver identified by the driver identifying information contained in the printer information is not installed in the operation system, the support program causes the information processing apparatus to cause the information processing apparatus to perform an operation regarding installation of the printer driver in the operation system, the printer driver corresponding to the printer.
