A controller of an information processing apparatus is configured to receive image data representing a first size image, the first size being a size within which a first number of first objects can be printed, extract second image data included in the first image data, the second image data representing the first object, create first print data used to print the second number of first objects on the second size sheet in an arranged manner based on the extracted second image data, the second number being less than the first number, the first size being a size of a sheet on which the first number of first objects can be arranged, the second size being a size of a sheet on which the first number of first objects cannot be arranged but the second number of first objects can be arranged, the first print data being transmitted to a printer.

A method for processing print data includes a matching processing step of performing pattern matching between a streak detection pattern including a streak pattern having a width of one pixel and print data after a RIP process, a length measurement step of determining, when matching is established in the matching processing step, a length of a streak candidate part including a part corresponding to the streak pattern in a region where matching is established and a part continuous in an extending direction of the streak pattern and having a same value as a data value of the streak pattern, in the print data, and a determination step of determining whether or not the streak candidate part is white streak data that possibly results in a streak, by comparing the length determined in the length measurement step against a predetermined threshold.

A scanning system includes a receiving section that receives a specified word and a processing setting and stores the specified word and the processing setting to a storage medium, a scanner that performs scanning to read an image, a determining section that performs character recognition on image data indicating the read image to recognize a character string and determines whether the specified word is included in the recognized character string, and a processing section that performs processing on the image data with the processing setting associated with the specified word when the specified word is included in the image data.

An image processing apparatus is provided. The apparatus detects an edge in an N-arized image (N is a natural number not less than 2) representing a result of threshold-based processing for a grayscale image obtained from an input image. The apparatus generates the print data based on the input image and a detection result of the edge.

There is provided a printing apparatus including: a first receptacle connector that couples a first external device and an arithmetic section; a second receptacle connector that couples a second external device and the arithmetic section; and a USB controller that causes the arithmetic section to function as the device or the host based on a first electric signal input from the first external device and a second electric signal input from the second external device, in which, when the first external device is coupled, the USB controller causes the arithmetic section to function as the device when the second external device that functions as the device is coupled, causes the arithmetic section to function as the device when the second external device that functions as the host is coupled, and causes the arithmetic section to function as the device when the second external device is not coupled.

A display control device according to an embodiment includes a display control unit that controls display of a setup screen for performing setup for machining in a machine tool, the setup screen including (i) a menu display part displaying a plurality of setup items in a selectable manner and (ii) a detail display part displaying an operation for each of the setup items. In control of display of the setup screen, while the setup screen is displayed, display of the setup items on the menu display part is maintained and display of the operation screens is switched on the detail display part in response to an operation input by an operator.

A display control device includes: a display control unit that controls display of a setup screen including a menu display part displaying, in a selectable manner, a plurality of measurements including tool measurement and workpiece measurement and a detail display part displaying an operation screen for each of the measurements. An operation screen associated with each measurement is a screen that displays a plurality of visible images each representing a measurement operation and receives selection of a measurement operation that is selected by selecting one of the visible images. While the setup screen is displayed, the display control unit maintains display of a plurality of measurements on the menu display part and switches display on the detail display part in response to an operation input by an operator.
