A can body printing system includes: a status detection section 305 configured to, when printing is performed on a can body by a user, detect satisfaction of a condition for the printing set by a third party that is not the user; and a print stopping section 306 configured to control a stoppage of the printing on the can body in response to detection of the satisfaction of the condition for the printing set by the third party that is not the user.

A printing system includes: a printer including a controller; and a contract processing server. The controller is configured to perform: determining, in response to receiving from an external device a print job including print data representing an image, whether authority information indicating an authority to print the image has been issued; and transmitting, in response to determining that the authority information has been issued, to the contract processing server an inquiry for determining whether the authority information is valid. The contract processing server is configured to perform: transmitting, in response to receiving the inquiry, a response to the controller. The controller is configured to further perform: determining, in response to receiving the response, whether the authority information is valid on the basis of the received response; and printing, in response to determining that the authority information is valid, the image on a print medium by controlling the printer.

A print consumable may include a rotatable core, a roll of dispensable print substrate, and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag. The roll of the dispensable print substrate may be dispensably secured to the core. The RFID tag may be secured to the core and configured to rotate about a core axis. The RFID tag includes an RFID antenna coupled to an RFID chip. The RFID chip may include a print counter, a stock-keeping unit (SKU) code, and a consumable authentication code. A print system may include a housing, a holder to hold the print consumable, a print head, a transceiver, a trace antenna for reading an RFID tag of the print consumable, and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive a signal from the transceiver indicative of one or more of the print counter, the SKU code, and the consumable authentication code received from the RFID antenna.

An image forming apparatus includes a main body memory, and a controller. A second upper limit information stored in the main body memory indicates an upper limit of a printable page number that the image forming apparatus is allowed to print in a state where the image forming apparatus is in an off-line state. A printed page number information stored in the main body memory indicates a printed page number printed in the off-line state. The controller is configured to: increment the printed page number information by one in a case where the one sheet of paper is printed on one side printing; and increment the printed page number information by two in a case where the one sheet is printed on double-sided printing. The controller is configured to determine whether the printed page number information is greater than or equal to the second upper limit page number.

A verification system includes a printer which prints image on a recording sheet, a reader which reads an image printed on the recording sheet, and controllers to set a first print setting via a setting screen, cause the printer to print an image based on the set first print setting, cause the reader to read the printed image, and register the read image as a correct image. The controllers also set a second print setting via the setting screen, cause the printer to print an verification target image based on the set second print setting, cause the reader to read the printed verification target image, and verify the read image using the registered correct image, and control the setting screen for the second print setting so that a predetermined print setting included in the first print setting cannot be edited on the setting screen for the second print setting.

A communication system comprising an information processing apparatus and a mobile terminal, wherein when the mobile terminal receives a packet transmitted from the information processing apparatus, it determines whether or not a login condition for transmitting a login request is satisfied based on a received signal strength of the packet, and it transmits the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it determines that the login condition is satisfied, and does not transmit the login request to the information processing apparatus in a case where it is determines that the login condition is not satisfied.

The method involves receiving, by a computer, a request for a comingled print job comprising a plurality of print jobs to be carried out by the printer. The method also involves traversing, by the computer, pages of the comingled print job and identifying, for each page of the comingled print job, a print job of the plurality of print jobs to which the page belongs. The method also involves for each of the plurality of print jobs, calculating, by the computer, an estimated total amount of ink required for printing the print job. The method also involves communicating, by the computer, to a client terminal, the estimated total amounts of ink required for printing the plurality of print jobs.

A supporting program is executable by a controller of an information processing apparatus and corresponds to a printer connected to the information processing apparatus. The supporting program causes the information processing apparatus to perform processing intermediate image data in accordance with a print parameter received in a print parameter editing process, displaying an image indicated by the processed inter mediate image data on a print preview screen.
