Data streams of production intents
A data state manager may include a production intent module to define a production intent, a capability module to identify a number of capabilities of a plurality of media printing devices to which the data state manager is coupled, and a data stream module to, through a plurality of communication links to the media printing devices, stream a plurality of data streams to the plurality of media printing devices in a synchronized manner based on a number of characteristics of the streamed data and the identified capabilities of the media printing devices, with the data streams defining the production intent.
Non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing computer-executable instructions for information processing device, and method of controlling information processing device
Non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores computer-executable instructions which cause, when executed, a controller of an information processing device to obtain a list of printers registered with an operating system installed to the information processing device, obtaining a list of print programs installed in the information processing device, store identifiers of the list of printers and the list of the print programs as obtained in a memory, detect whether a first user operation is input through an inputting device of the information processing device, when input of the first user operation is detected, extract one of the printers in the list of printers and print programs in the list of print programs stored in the memory and setting the extracted one of the printers and the print programs to the output destination, and when the output destination is one of the print programs, start the print program.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, CLIENT TERMINAL, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A management system is configured to communicate with a client terminal via a network and provide a store management service. The management system includes one or more memories storing a set of instructions, and one or more processors that execute the set of instructions to perform login processing for a user of the client terminal to log in to the management service, based on a login request from the client terminal, acquire store entry and exit information about the user, and provide the client terminal with information about one or more print apparatuses installed in a store that the user has entered, based on the acquired store entry and exit information.
PRINTING SYSTEM AND METHODS TO MANAGE PRINTING DEVICES ACCORDING TO INFORMATION FOR EACH PRINTING DEVICE
A printing system manages printing devices. A managing server receives device update status information and pending job information from each of the printing devices. A status change for a component within a first printing device is detected, thereby updating the device information for the first printing device. The managing server parses a print job queue for the first printing device to update the pending job information to determine the print job will cause a first potential error related to the changed status of the first printing device. When a new print job is received, the managing server determines that the new print job will not occur according to the first potential error, identifies a second printing device, determines the new print job will not result in a second potential error at the second printing device, and sends the new print job to the second printing device.
Resuming print job by using accounting information
An example image forming apparatus includes a communication device to communicate with an external apparatus, a printing engine to perform a printing job, and a processor to, based on receiving a printing request for the printing job, perform accounting processing for the printing job, and control the printing engine such that the printing job is performed. The processor, based on an error occurring in the printing job, is to control the communication device to transmit proceeding history information of the printing job and accounting information to another image forming apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD FOR PROCESSING INFORMATION, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes a first memory unit configured to store data, which is output target data to be output to an apparatus, a compression unit configured to generate compression data formed by compressing the data, and a sending unit configured to send the compression data corresponding to the data in response to a data acquisition request to acquire the data from the apparatus.
Image formation apparatus, terminal apparatus, and information processing apparatus for remotely controlling an image formation apparatus within an image processing system
In an image processing system including a plurality of MFPs, it is assumed that a terminal apparatus accepts a request for connection to an MFP from a user. When a remote operation of the MFP through the terminal apparatus cannot be performed, the terminal apparatus requests of another MFP different from the MFP for connection and receives transfer of representation information for displaying an operation screen from another MFP. The terminal apparatus transfers operation information representing an operation by the user onto the operation screen to another MFP. When the processing based on the operation information is processing of a print job by the user in the MFP, another MFP transfers the print job to the MFP.
CONTROL METHOD, COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A control method executed in an information processing apparatus capable of communicating with a plurality of image output apparatuses, comprising, based on an operation input by a user concerning switching of the plurality of image output apparatuses, specifying a difference of a print setting of the image output apparatus before and after the switching, and (i) for an item that has no difference of the print setting before and after the switching, diverting the print setting before the switching, and (ii) for an item that has the difference of the print setting before and after the switching, presenting a candidate of the print setting corresponding to the difference by the image output apparatus after the switching.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE THAT USES HARDWARE CORRESPONDING TO PRIORITY LEVEL OF PROCESSOR USAGE
An electronic device includes a CPU that executes the process execution program to function as a plurality of process execution units as threads and an execution control unit. The plurality of process execution units use the CPU to execute a process. The execution control unit controls executing of the process by the plurality of process execution units. The execution control unit sets a CPU usage priority level for each of the plurality of process execution units. The execution control unit changes the CPU usage priority level of the job of a type other than a specific type to a priority level that is equal to or less than a specific priority level, when the job of the specific type and the job of the type other than the specific type are simultaneously executed.
Image forming system including image forming apparatus configured to output voice guidance to a user during transfer of a job, and method for controlling image forming apparatus
In a system including first and second image forming apparatuses, a hardware processor of the first image forming apparatus guides a user by voice on information about execution of a job, and sets the job based on voice input from the user. When the job cannot be executed by a printer, the hardware processor of the first image forming apparatus transfers the set job to the takeover-destination second image forming apparatus through a network. A hardware processor of the second image forming apparatus that has received the set job takes over and performs the guidance for the user by voice.
