A printing management apparatus includes a processor configured to generate a printing schedule based on a printing group, which is acquired by performing grouping on components that constitute a product for each attribute and in which is possible to change a printing order of the components in the group on which the grouping is performed, in a case where the product is manufactured using a printing apparatus and a post processing apparatus, and generate a post processing schedule based on a post processing group which is acquired by performing grouping on the product constituted by the components included in the printing group.

A printing apparatus includes a head part, an encoder, a tension sensor, a head part temperature sensor, an edge sensor, an estimation part, a storage, and an output part. The estimation part estimates print quality in terms of a page printed by the head part on the basis of variation elements detected by the encoder, the tension sensor, the head part temperature sensor, and the edge sensor. The storage stores print quality information containing the printed page and the print quality estimated by the estimation part in association with each other. The output part outputs the print quality information to a display, a post-processing device, and a printer controller section.

A processing job generation apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires first information on a print image, and a processing position setting unit that causes a print image and a processing mark indicating a processing position of processing to be performed on the sheet to be simultaneously displayed on the display device, and sets a processing position on basis of the print image and the processing mark displayed on the display device.

A printing system including a printer that sends a printed print medium to a post-processing machine is provided with: a job sorting unit that sorts a plurality of jobs into a plurality of groups; a required printing time calculation unit that calculates a required printing time per set required for printing for each job; a short job determination unit that determines, as a short job, a job for which the required printing time is shorter than a minimum processing time that is a minimum time required for processing for one set in the post-processing machine; and a job group generation unit that generates, on the basis of a plurality of jobs sorted into the same group, a job group obtained by grouping standard jobs (jobs not determined as short jobs) and a job group obtained by grouping short jobs.

A printer includes: a print executing unit configured to execute printing on a sheet paper; a process executing unit configured to execute a predetermined process related to cutting of the sheet paper; and a controller. The controller is configured to, in a case where a first sheet paper having a first size is contained, send capability information to a terminal device, wherein the capability information includes specific size information indicating a sheet paper having a specific size. The specific size information includes a specific character string. The controller is configured to receive selection information indicating that the specific size was selected from the terminal device in response to a user selecting the specific character string. The controller is configured to, in a case where the selection information is received from the terminal device, cause the process executing unit to execute the predetermined process on the first sheet paper.

A printer may include: a process executing unit configured to execute a predetermined process related to cutting of a sheet paper; and a controller. The controller may be configured to: after a print executing command has been received, cause a display unit to display an inquiry screen, the inquiry screen being for inquiring a user whether the predetermined process is to be executed on the sheet paper; and in a case where it is selected by a user that the predetermined process is to be executed on the sheet paper, cause the process executing unit to execute the predetermined process on the sheet paper, wherein in a case where it is selected by the user that the predetermined process is not to be executed on the sheet paper, the predetermined process is not executed on the sheet paper.

An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus that includes an image forming section that forms an image on a recording material in accordance with a print job and a first reception section that receives a command about output of the print job; and a post-processing apparatus that includes a post-processing section that performs post-processing on the recording material transported from the image forming apparatus in accordance with the print job and a second reception section that receives a command about the post-processing and that receives a command about re-output of the print job in a case where the print job is to be possibly re-output.

At least one embodiment of a post-processing apparatus performs post-processing on a product printed by a printing apparatus, and transmits a completion notification, indicating that the post-processing apparatus has completed the post-processing, to the printing apparatus based on whether there is a subsequent post-processing apparatus to the post-processing apparatus. At least one embodiment of an image forming apparatus holds job data, performs print processing of the job data, and deletes the held job data in a case where the completion notification is received.

A set of computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer in an information processing device, causes the information processing device to perform: a setting process; and in response to receiving a print instruction in which a cut print setting is set: a generation process; and a transmission process. The setting process sets the cut print setting for printing an image on a sheet and dividing the printed sheet at a center position thereof in a prescribed direction. The generation process acquires first and second page data representing respective ones of first and second target images to generate layout image data representing a layout image in which first and second images corresponding to respective ones of the first and second target images are arranged adjacent to each other in the prescribed direction. The transmission process transmits print data based on the layout image data and a cut command to a printer.

The systems and methods of the present invention provide optimized mailpiece batching, production, and mailing based on historical and real time, or near-real time, data such as target delivery time, mail fabrication processing costs and capacity, tracked transit times and costs for mailing between induction points and target addresses, and transport times and costs from various printers to various induction points. Additional considerations such as bulk discounts can be used in the analysis to ensure maximum cost reduction while achieving contract delivery times using distributed printing.
