AVOIDING ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE EVENTS FROM CROSS-HIERARCHY TIE NETS
A system is configured to avoid establishing an electrostatic discharge (ESD) region in an integrated circuit (IC). The system includes a processor and memory storing an IC simulator. The IC simulator establishes an IC chip that is sub-divided into a plurality of hierarchical levels. The IC simulator further analyzes a first hierarchical level to determine first connectivity information indicating connectivity between the first hierarchical level and one or both of lower-level pins and lower-level nets of a targeted hierarchical level having a lower-level of hierarchy with respect to the first hierarchical level and analyzes the targeted hierarchical level to determine second connectivity information indicating diode connectivity to one or both high-level pins and higher-level nets included in the first hierarchical level. The IC simulator determines an ESD fail region mitigation operation configured to avoid establishing the ESD region based on the first connectivity information and the second connectivity information.

DETERMINING A BLENDED TIMING CONSTRAINT THAT SATISFIES MULTIPLE TIMING CONSTRAINTS AND USER-SELECTED SPECIFICATIONS
Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method of determining timing constraints of a first component-under-design (CUD). The computer-implemented method includes accessing, using a processor, a plurality of timing constraint requirements configured to be placed on the first CUD by one or more second CUDs, wherein each of the plurality of timing constraint requirements is specifically designed for the CUD. The processor is used to perform a comparative analysis of each of the plurality of timing constraints to identify a single timing constraint that satisfies each of the plurality of timing constraints.

Compression for sparse data structures utilizing mode search approximation
Embodiments are generally directed to compression for compression for sparse data structures utilizing mode search approximation. An embodiment of an apparatus includes one or more processors including a graphics processor to process data; and a memory for storage of data, including compressed data. The one or more processors are to provide for compression of a data structure, including identification of a mode in the data structure, the data structure including a plurality of values and the mode being a most repeated value in a data structure, wherein identification of the mode includes application of a mode approximation operation, and encoding of an output vector to include the identified mode, a significance map to indicate locations at which the mode is present in the data structure, and remaining uncompressed data from the data structure.
Prediction and optimization of multi-kernel circuit design performance using a programmable overlay
Predicting performance of a circuit design includes determining memory access patterns of kernels of the circuit design for implementation in an integrated circuit (IC) and generating a plurality of different floorplans. Each floorplan specifies a mapping of memory interfaces of the kernels to memories of the selected IC and an allocation of the kernels to a plurality of programmable pattern generator (PPG) circuit blocks of a circuit architecture implemented in the IC. The plurality of different floorplans are executed using the circuit architecture in the IC. The plurality of PPG circuit blocks mimic the memory access patterns of the kernels for each of the plurality of different floorplans during the executing. One or more design constraints are generated based on a selected floorplan. The selected floorplan is selected from the plurality of different floorplans based on one or more performance metrics determined from the executing.

FAST FPGA COMPILATION FROM SOFTWARE FLOWS THROUGH PARTIAL RECONFIGURATION AND HARDENED NETWORK-ON-CHIP
Systems or methods of the present disclosure may provide a library including multiple personas that may be pre-generated by a manufacturer and/or custom generated by a designer that may be used to implement a design onto an integrated circuit device. The design may be decomposed into one or more personas to be implemented as coarse-grained operations on the integrated circuit device, thereby decreasing compilation time experienced by the designer. The personas may be loaded into one or more regions of the integrated circuit device to realize the design. That is, the design may be realized by one persona may be implemented across multiple regions, one region may be configured by multiple personas, one persona configuring one region, or any combination thereof. Additionally or alternatively, the integrated circuit device may include networks-on-chip to improve data routing between the regions.
