UPDATING MEDIA DEVICES IN A LOCAL NETWORK WITH A CLIENT-SERVER ARCHITECTURE
Systems, methods, and non-transitory, machine-readable media to facilitate updating media devices in a local network with a client-server architecture are disclosed. A primary media device may be configured to operate as a server in a local network, receive audio/video (A/V) content via an Internet connection and/or a satellite network connection, serve the A/V content to a set of one or more secondary media devices for display with at least one television of a set of one or more televisions, and receive a set of one or more software updates via the Internet connection, a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection, and/or the satellite network connection. One or more software updates of the set of one or more software updates may be specified for, and may be transferred to, the set of one or more secondary media devices.
CONTROL FLOW INTEGRITY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A CFI system constituted of: at least one protection module, each comprising a respective allowable flow model associated with at least one of a plurality of portions of a process; and at least one process protection manager, arranged, responsive to a control flow instruction in one of the plurality of portions of the process, to: compare one or more parameters of the control flow instruction to the allowable flow model of the associated protection module; and responsive to an outcome of the comparison indicating that the compared parameters do not meet a respective parameter of the allowable flow model, generate a predetermined signal, wherein each protection module is implemented as a shared object, wherein each process protection manager is implemented as a shared object, and wherein the at least one protection module and the process protection manager are loaded into the process.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING STREAMING IN A LOCAL NETWORK WITH MULTIPLE SUBNETS
Systems, methods, and non-transitory, machine-readable media to facilitate streaming in a local network are disclosed. A primary media device may be configured to: operate as a server in a local network, receive audio/video (A/V) content, and provide the A/V content to a first display. A secondary media device may be communicatively connected to the primary media device and may be configured to: operate as a client with respect to the primary media device in the local network, receive the A/V content from the primary media device, and provide the A/V content to a second display. The primary media device and the secondary media device may use multiple subnets in the local network. The primary media device and/or the secondary media device may select a first subnet of the multiple subnets to use based at least in part on a type of content to communicate via the first subnet.
Dynamic invocation of partner product exit routine in an active information management system
A method in a mainframe computing system to invoke a partner product exit routine in an information management system while the information management system is in operation. The method includes scheduling an interrupt routine for execution, creating, by the interrupt routine, an information management system task, where the information management system task is a work unit that provides a logical service within the information management system, scheduling, by the interrupt routine, the information management system task for execution, invoking, by the information management system task, the partner product exit routine, and installing, by the partner product exit routine, a component of a software product that allows the software product to integrate with the information management system.
Configuring an API to provide customized access constraints
A computing system includes a processing device and a memory device configured to store an Application Programming Interface (API) and computer software. The computer software has a plurality of software components configured to enable the processing device to utilize internal data for performing a plurality of functions. The API is configured to define interactions between the software components and is further configured to define access constraints with respect to the computing system. The access constraints are configured to restrict access by an end user associated with the computing system with respect to the internal data and software components. Also, the computer software is configured to adjust the access constraints of the API.
Method and device for dynamically managing kernel node
A method and a device for managing a node includes: initiating, by an application program, a first request by calling an interface function, where the first request is used to perform an operation on a feature node in a kernel; searching, based on a keyword of the interface function, a table used for node management for an entry corresponding to the feature node, where the entry includes a node identifier of the feature node and a user handle identifier of the feature node; and performing, by the user program, the operation on the feature node based on the user handle identifier. A program running in user space can be prevented from directly accessing a feature node in kernel space, thereby improving system security.
CUSTOMIZABLE REDAPTOR EXTENSIONS FOR SINGLE-PAGE WEB APPLICATIONS
A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for modifying a web application at runtime. A single-page web application is loaded by a web browser of a client, wherein the single-page web application exchanges data between the client and a server. An extension for the single-page web application is obtained. The extension is applied to the single-page web application, wherein applying the extension adds a new feature, or modifies an existing feature, of the single-page web application without reloading the single-page web application.
LOGICALLY SPLITTING OBJECT CODE INTO MODULES WITH LAZY LOADING OF CONTENT
A method for receiving a first portion of object code, analyzing a first portion of object code in a static manner to determine a call tree hierarchy, dividing, by a synthetic compiler, the first portion of object code into a plurality of modules; and starting to run the first portion of object code to start a runtime phase, with the running of the first portion of the object code including: (i) lazy loading of the modules of the plurality of modules of the first portion of object code, and/or (ii) eager unloading of the modules of the plurality of modules of the first portion of object code.
Application function library for cloud systems
A method, a system, and computer program product for application function library installation for cloud-based systems. An application function in a plurality of application functions is executed. The application function is executed using a server instance running in a container. A determination is made that execution of the application function requires an application function library. The application function library for executing of the application function is obtained. The obtained application function library is loaded during runtime of the application function.
Method and apparatus for running applet
A method and an apparatus for running an applet are provided. The method includes: reading, in response to issuing an applet to a host application, a configuration file to determine a dynamic library referenced by the applet; loading the dynamic library referenced by the applet from a sandbox directory and/or an applet platform; and running, in response to a running instruction of the applet, a script code of the applet to call the dynamic library referenced by the applet. When the applet is run, the dynamic library referenced by the applet is loaded from the sandbox directory and/or the applet platform, and the dynamic library is no longer integrated into the applet package.
