A printing apparatus includes a receiving unit which receives print data, an operating unit which receives a print instruction from a user, a display unit which displays a password entry screen for receiving a password entry from a user, and a printing unit which receives a print instruction from a user through the operating unit and prints print data without accepting a password through a password entry screen if a password added to the print data is matched with a fixed password and print data to be printed if a print instruction from a user is received through the operating unit, if the password added to the print data is matched with the fixed password, and if the password received through a password entry screen is matched with the password added to the print data.

An image forming system includes: a sheet feeder; an image former that forms an image on a paper sheet; a conveyor that conveys a paper sheet to a sheet ejection destination; a switcher that switches sheet ejection destinations; a reader that optically reads a paper sheet, and outputs a read image; an abnormal sheet detector that detects an abnormal paper sheet by analyzing the read image; a storage; a display; and a hardware processor that performs: ejection destination switch control to control the switcher to eject an abnormal paper sheet and a succeeding paper sheet to a second ejection destination different from a regular ejection destination; storage control, for each of the abnormal paper sheet and the succeeding paper sheet, to associate sheet information, the read image, and a stacking order with one another, and store them into the storage; and display control to cause the display to display them.

A printing apparatus includes a printing head to move in a first direction, a conveying roller to convey the printing medium in a second direction intersecting with the first direction, and a housing to house the printing head and the conveying roller and be expandable and contractible in the first direction. A thermal label printer system may include a book-shaped housing comprising a front cover and a rear cover with the front cover attached to a rear cover along an interface and configured to rotate about the interface with respect to the rear cover between an open position and a closed position. The thermal label printer system may also include a thermal printer having a printer casing secured within the book-shaped housing, as well as an input device, a thermal print head, and a controller. The controller configured to determine an output based at least in part on an input signal received from the input device. The output is configured to cause the thermal print head to print a label having at least a name of a food item and a determined expiration date for the food item.

A method for the dynamic personalization of a respiratory mask includes electronically scanning an identification of a guest on an oceangoing vessel, querying a data store of images of guest faces for an image of a face matching the identification of the guest, retrieving the matching image of the face into memory of the computing system, loading a printer with a respiratory mask such as an N95 mask or a KN95 mask, printing onto the mask a portion of the matching image of the face corresponding to a portion of the face obscured by the mask when the mask is worn by the guest and ejecting the mask with the printing from the printer.
