Method for reading a code stored in a halftone image and comparison with a retrievable value
A method for checking the authenticity of products, by checking an image (A) of a product. The proof of authenticity is not visible to the human eye and cannot be copied. This is characterized in that a code stored in a halftone image by manipulation of dots and/or a manipulated field bounded in the halftone image can be read by means of an optical device and compared with a retrievable value in at least one database. In at least one field (F1 to F5) a part of a serial number is determined which describes the structure of the serial number and a hash function used for transmitting the serial number to the database, and this is also characterized in that the serial number is subsequently assembled and encrypted with the corresponding hash function.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING SUPPORT PROGRAM
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a support program readable by a computer of an information processing device, the support program corresponding to a printer connected to the information processing device and supporting a general-purpose print program pre-installed in an operating system of the information processing device, the support program, when executed by the computer, causes the computer to perform: based on a print instruction being output from an application program installed in the information processing device and transferred to the general-purpose print program to cause the printer to perform printing, receiving intermediate image data according to the print instruction from the operating system; generating rasterized raster data based on the received intermediate image data; compressing the generated raster data; and transmitting print data based on the compressed raster data to the printer.
PRINT SYSTEM, PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A print system including a printing apparatus and an inspection apparatus, the printing apparatus obtains, from a print job, image data to be used for printing, registers in the inspection apparatus the image data as a reference image, in response to completion of registration of the reference image in the inspection apparatus, executes printing on a sheet based on the print job, and notifies the inspection apparatus of an instruction for inspecting the sheet on which printing has been performed. The inspection apparatus registers the image data received from the printing apparatus as the reference image, and in response to the instruction for inspecting, inspects the sheet on which the printing has been performed in the printing apparatus.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, PRINT SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive a print instruction to print an image rasterized by another information processing apparatus; associate the print instruction with any one of plural ejection destinations to which a recording medium printed in response to the print instruction is ejected; and, in a case where the ejection destination associated with the print instruction waits for ejection of a recording medium subsequent to the already ejected recording medium, execute a print instruction for the subsequent recording medium, and not execute a print instruction for ejecting a recording medium other than the subsequent recording medium to the ejection destination.
METHOD OF PRINTING ONTO VARIABLE-SIZED BOX SUBSTRATES
A method of printing onto a planar box substrate used for assembling a box having predetermined box dimensions. The method includes the steps of: determining box dimensions based on the planar box substrate; retrieving generic instructions for image content to be printed on the box substrate; preparing box-specific transformations using the generic instructions and the box dimensions; applying the box-specific transformations on design components to generate image content portions commensurate with image content regions; generating image data based on the image content portions; and printing onto the box substrate using the image data.
PRINTER, PRINT SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
Instruction data is configured to include mode information indicating a print mode in download printing. The print mode includes a first mode and a second mode different from the first mode. The download printing includes: in response to extracting the mode information indicating the first mode, performing the download printing by the first mode, the first mode being a mode of, after completing reception of an entirety of a document, starting printing based on the entirety of the document; and in response to extracting the mode information indicating the second mode, performing the download printing by the second mode, the second mode being a mode of, before completing reception of the entirety of the document, starting printing based on a received portion of the document. The second mode is a mode in which reception of the document and printing based on the document are performed in parallel.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided is an image forming apparatus including: an obtainment unit configured to obtain print data including drawing commands; a first image processing unit configured to perform conversion of color information for drawing an object having a non-image attribute among objects to be drawn by the drawing commands; a command execution unit configured to generate raster image data based on the drawing commands; a storage configured to store the generated raster image data to perform predetermined output; a second image processing unit configured to perform conversion of color information on an object having a picture attribute in the generated raster image data; and a control unit configured to perform the predetermined output in a case where a predetermined condition is met.
Print job security for error analysis
In the embodiments described herein, partially encrypted print jobs are described which include unencrypted print job commands and encrypted print data objects. One embodiment comprises a print controller that includes a memory and at least one processor. The memory stores a print job comprising one or more print data objects, and print job commands that define data boundaries in the print job for the print data objects. The at least one processor processes the print job commands to identify the print data objects for the print job based on the data boundaries, encrypts the print data objects using a key while the print job commands remain unencrypted, generates a partially encrypted print job comprising the encrypted print data objects and the unencrypted print job commands, and provides the partially encrypted print job.
Information processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus includes a processing section that generates, based on image data, print data obtained by performing RIP processing on the image data and preview data smaller in data size than the print data, and a storage section that stores the preview data, in which when an update of a preview of a print image based on the print data is accepted, the processing section updates data used for the preview by using the preview data read from the storage section.
