An information processing device obtains order identification information capable of identifying an order placed by an order-placing person, transmits, as payment information, the order identification information, causes a printing process of a print medium to be executed, the print medium being capable of identifying the order identification information and gives, to another information processing device when an additional order placed by the order-placing person is received, an invalidation command which invalidates the order identification information in such a way that a payment with respect to the order identification information on an order not paid yet and placed by the same order-placing person is disabled.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program is provided. The program is executed in a personal digital assistant to operate a recording apparatus including a recording unit that performs recording on a medium from the personal digital assistant. The program causes the personal digital assistant to display, on a display of the personal digital assistant, information on a user operation method based on an event that occurred when a medium is to be fed from back of the recording apparatus, the method being to be performed after the event occurred.

Provided is a printer connected to a management server via a network. The printer includes a storage control unit that, when an event occurs, stores in a storage unit event information indicating a content of the event that has occurred and time when the event occurs, and a transmission unit that push-transmits the event information stored in the storage unit to the management server. The storage control unit adds, to the event information, transmission information indicating whether the event information has been transmitted or has not been transmitted to the management server and stores the event information in the storage unit. Among the event information stored in the storage unit, the transmission unit push-transmits, to the management server, untransmitted event information to which transmission information indicating the event information has not been transmitted is added.

Even in a case where a master-CPU of an image forming section and a slave-CPU of a sheet transportation section are driven by respective oscillation circuits with different oscillation accuracies, a large difference in accuracy is not caused in transfer sheet transportation speed driven by clock signals formed by the respective oscillation circuits. In the master-CPU and the slave-CPU that are cascadingly connected to each other, in order to calculate a clock frequency of an oscillation circuit of the target-CPU, a predetermined time transmitted from the other CPU connected to the target-CPU is counted by the clock signal of the target-CPU. With reference to the predetermined time, an operating process, such as division of an acquired counter value by the predetermined time, acquires an error of the clock frequency of the oscillation circuit driving the slave-CPU, and corrects the error, thereby improving the accuracy thereof.

Example systems and methods may relate to controlling a printing device. Specifically, systems may include a processing device and a printing device. The processing device may be configured to determine an image corresponding to a command for performing maintenance on a printing device. Such a command may include a command to restart device, clean memory, or set sleep mode, for example. The processing device may also render the image on a portable medium. The printing device may read the image using a scanner or other reading device. The printing device may then determine that a command corresponds to the image read. The printing device may then execute the command that corresponds to the image read.

In an image forming apparatus: a report reading portion reads image data of a print report that has already been printed; a memory stores report data of a current time point; a format determining portion determines whether or not the read print report and the report data match in format; a change search portion, when the print report and the report data match in format, determines whether or not changed information is included in the report data by comparing the report data with the print report for each item, the changed information being information that has been changed from corresponding information in the print report; and a change output portion, when the changed information is included in the report data, re-prints the changed information in a vicinity of pre-change information on the print report, the pre-change information corresponding to the changed information.

An image forming apparatus includes an operating section. The operating section projects forward from an upper housing of the image forming apparatus. The operating section includes an input section and a display section. The input section is for receiving input of image forming information. The display section is disposed adjacent to the input section and displays the image forming information thereon. A position of the display section is switchable between a first position and a second position. The first position is where the display section is flush with the input section. The second position is where the display section is tilted forward more than the input section, by turning the display section on a front edge side of the display section as a pivot to raise a rear edge side of the display section upward from the first position.

A movement control device configured to determine whether the moving unit moved by a driving unit is in a stopped state at a position before a predetermined target stop position, and whether a difference between the detection position and the target stop position is equal to or smaller than a threshold difference, based on a detection position of the moving unit, after the moving unit starts deceleration operation, and switch a control of the driving unit to a position control based on the difference between the detection position and the target stop position, from a speed control based on a designated speed associated with the detection position to the target stop position, if the moving unit is in the stopped state at a position before the predetermined target stop position, and the difference is equal to or smaller than the threshold difference.

A control device includes a prohibition unit that prohibits use of an electronic apparatus in a case where a sum of a cumulative amount of use of the electronic apparatus for a predetermined period of time and a new amount of use which is newly instructed by an user exceeds a permitted amount in the period of time which is permitted for the user, and a permission unit that permits use of the electronic apparatus by an amount based on an unused amount which is a difference between the permitted amount and the cumulative amount of use in an unreaching period when the unreaching period is present before the period of time in an accounting period including the period of time, in a case where the use of the electronic apparatus is prohibited by the prohibition unit.

A network device that is capable of notifying of a factor of an error when reboot in response to an instruction cannot be performed due to an operating state. The network device is connected to a network. A receiving unit receives a reboot instruction through the network. A determination unit determines propriety of reboot based on an operating state of the network device when the receiving unit receives a reboot instruction. A reply unit replies information indicating no error when the determination unit determines that reboot is available, and replies information indicating an error together with information indicating a factor of unavailable reboot when the determination unit determines that reboot is unavailable.
