SMART SPORT DEVICE
An Internet of Thing (IoT) sport device includes a body with a processor, a camera and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING RFID LABELS USING AUTOMATED TAG ENCODING, AND VERIFICATION OF RFID LABELS POST GENERATION
The present disclosure provides a system and method for generating RFID labels using automated RFID encoding, and verification of RFID labels post generation. In some aspect, generating RFID labels may be done using a label printer and an easy-to-attach RFID encoder. The RFID encoder may include an RFID controller coupled to a network, one or more antennas, a barcode scanner, and one or more optical detectors. As printed RFID labels pass through the label printer, the RFID encoder receives serialization data on the printed labels, which is translated into encode data by the RFID encoder and mask encoded into the RFID labels.
Self-supporting antenna
An antenna includes a self-supporting electrically conductive wire having a width (W) and extending longitudinally along a length and between first and second ends of the conductive wire. The conductive wire forms one or more loops and comprises an electrically conductive layer disposed on and aligned with an adhesive layer. A width and a length of each of the conductive and adhesive layers are substantially co-extensive with the width and the length of the conductive wire.
Merchandise attachment with RFID transponder
A merchandise attachment incorporating an RFID transponder may be described herein. The merchandise attachment may include a pliable, elongated panel member adapted for wrapping around the neck of a bottle or similar container. The panel member may be formed from a unitary blank having score lines that divide the blank into a plurality of panel sections. The panel member, when folded along the score lines with its end sections in overlapping relationship, may form a packaging sleeve in the shape of a tapered rectangular prism. The exterior surface of the panel member may be provided with informational material regarding the merchandise, such as branding, promotional offers, and the like. The RFID transponder, affixed to an interior surface of the panel member, may be adapted for wirelessly communicating information in radio-frequency signals.
SURGICAL SPONGES AND INSTRUMENT DETECTION DURING A SURGICAL PROCEDURE
System and method of managing one or more surgical articles, wherein the surgical article can include a surgical sponge comprising an identification element, and wherein managing can include counting, locating, or both. The identification element can be a RFID tag. The RFID tag stores unique identification information relative to the surgical sponge. The system and method for detecting RFID tags may include a hand-held RFID reader operable in a first count-in mode and in a second count-out mode; the hand-held RFID reader may be receivable in a cradle that can determine the presence of the hand-held RFID reader in the cradle; and where operation of the hand-held RFID reader in the second count-out mode is enabled when the hand-held RFID reader is present in the cradle and the second count-out mode is disabled when the hand-held RFID reader is absent from the cradle.
Secured document and associated system and method for securing documents
For protecting confidential information in a printed document, the invention provides a system and method for, on one hand, encrypting the confidential content of the document and then printing the part or parts of the document with confidential information in an encrypted form and the rest of the document in a non-encrypted form, and, on the other hand, decrypting the encrypted document content for display and use or for printing. In addition, for preventing unauthorized copying and tampering of a printed document, the invention provides a system and method for managing a unique tag, which is attached to the document and which authenticates the document.
RFID mesh label, tire having RFID mesh label integrally incorporated therein, and methods of making
An RFID mesh label configured to be integrally incorporated within a vulcanized tire and to further provide unique identifier(s) and/or other information about the vulcanized tire during and/or post-vulcanization, the RFID mesh label including a face layer configured to be positioned adjacent or flush to an outer surface of the vulcanized tire; an RFID layer positioned underneath the face layer, the RFID layer having an RFID device that is configured to provide unique identifier(s) and/or other information about the vulcanized tire upon being read with an RFID reader; and a mesh backing overlying the RFID layer and adapted to be integrally incorporated in a vulcanized tire after subjecting a green tire to a vulcanization process.
User authentication based on RFID-enabled identity document and gesture challenge-response protocol
A method of using a user terminal to provide secure authenticated registration between a user and a third party, the method comprising: reading a chip to receive chip data stored on the chip (S408); transmitting the chip data, via a network interface of the user terminal, over a network to an authentication server associated with said third party (S410) and in response receiving via said network interface a notification message from the authentication server (S412); determining whether the identification document is authentic based on the notification message from the authentication server (S414), wherein in response to determining that the identification document is authentic, the method further comprising: outputting, via at least one output device of the user terminal, an authentication challenge to the user (S418); receiving image data as a response to the authentication challenge (S420); and transmitting the image data, via the network interface, over the network to the authentication server for authenticating the user with the third party (S422).
Composite merchandise label constructions
Label constructions comprise a first section and a second section that are laminate constructions of a card stock top surface that may include printed indicia, an adhesive layer disposed underneath the card stock, and a removable liner adhered to the adhesive layer and common to the first and second sections. The first section includes an RFID device. The first section may be configured once removed from the liner to fold on itself to form an RFID tag, or to form an RFID adhesive label. The second section once separately removed from the liner forms an adhesive label. The construction first and second sections are positioned adjacent one another and are formed during the same manufacturing process for purposes of manufacturing efficiency. The first and second sections may be treated to facilitate separate removal from the liner to provide labeling flexibility.
Beacon enabled distribution items
Systems and methods of tracking distribution items using hardware components on or in the distribution items. Shippers and recipients of distribution items can track or locate a distribution item, especially a high value item, if the distribution item is lost, misrouted, or delayed.
