DEVICE FOR COMMUNICATING PREFERENCES TO A COMPUTER SYSTEM
The described device allows a user to set preference and receive the preferences by simply allowing a payment device to communicate with a preference reader.
Multi-faced payment card with partitioned dual smart chips and antennae
The disclosed embodiments provide a payment card. The payment card may have a first face and a second face opposite the first. Additionally, the payment card may comprise a first smart chip, the first smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the first face of the card. The payment card may further comprise a first antenna coupled to the first smart chip, the first antenna providing near-field contactless access to the first smart chip and a second smart chip, the second smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the second face of the card. Additionally, the payment card may comprise a second antenna coupled to the second smart chip, the second antenna providing near-field contactless access to the second smart chip and an RF block that electronically isolates the first antenna and the second antenna from each other.
Transaction card with lightweight core
Provided are transaction cards with a reduced weight core. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having a first outer layer opposite a second outer layer, and a corrugated core between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, wherein the corrugated core comprises a plurality of alternating peaks and valleys coupled to the first outer layer and the second outer layer. The transaction card may further include an identification chip positioned through the first outer layer, wherein the identification chip is directly coupled to the corrugated core.
Magnetic PUF with Predetermined Information Layer
The invention adds a Physical Information Layer (“PIL”) to the magnetic particles within a matrix that creates an unclonable physical unclonable function “object.” The PIL assists in searching to find the combination that matches a pre-determined enrolled combination with additional information that includes a search index, which limits the range of data required to search in order to find a match in the enrolled database. The index could be a predetermined value that associates the random magnetic profile values to a list of enrolled values in a database. The additional information may include product or general information that needs to be easily communicated to a user of the PUF.
INFORMATION-SHIELDING CARDS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FABRICATING THE SAME
Example embodiments of information-shielding cards and systems and methods of fabricating the same are provided. An information-shielding card can comprising a substrate comprising a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, a chip embedded in the second layer, and a quick-response (QR) code formed on the second layer. The second layer can be disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer can comprise a first material that is transparent when exposed to a non-visible light, the second layer can comprise a second material that is opaque when exposed to visible light and when exposed to non-visible light, and the third layer comprises a third material that is transparent when exposed to a non-visible light.
Payment card with light-based signature
Systems, methods and apparatus are provided for light-based authentication of a payment card. The payment card may include a randomized mix of materials. The materials may include transparent or translucent materials. A light source may shine light on a surface of the payment card. Light passing through the card may generate a light pattern that is unique to the payment card. The light pattern may be captured and compared to a reference light pattern to authenticate the payment card. In some embodiments, photodetectors may detect light patterns generated through interactions with the card materials.
COMPACT TRANSACTION CARD
Provided are compact transaction cards. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having first and second main sides, a first and second end perimeter perimeters, and first and second side perimeters, wherein a first axis extending between the first and second side perimeters defines a first section of the body and a second section of the body. The card may further include an identification chip along the first main side and a magnetic stripe along the second main side, wherein the magnetic stripe extends between the first and second side perimeters, and wherein the magnetic stripe and the identification chip are located on the first section of the body. The card may further include a textured grip along at least one of the first main side and the second main side, wherein the textured grip is positioned only on the second section of the body.
ANTENNA DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an antenna device, a control method, and a program that control enabling or disabling of a plurality of IC card antennas by using a mobile terminal. The antenna device includes: a mobile terminal antenna that receives a radio wave output by a reader/writer provided in a mobile terminal; a plurality of IC card antennas that communicates with an IC card including an IC chip for the IC card that reads/writes data in a contactless manner in response to a command transmitted by the reader/writer; and a control circuit that operates by using power generated when the mobile terminal antenna receives the radio wave output by the reader/writer and controls enabling or disabling of each of the IC card antennas in response to the command transmitted by the reader/writer. The present technology is applicable to a playmat used for a card game using a smartphone having an NFC function and an IC card.
REMOVABLE MARKING ELEMENT WITH ACCESS CREDENTIALS
A method and system for transacting with a removable marking element is disclosed. A removable marking element including credentials can be associated with an account. A user can activate and manage the account via a mobile device. The mobile device can access the account by providing a product identifier. A product identifier may be provided in removable marking element packaging. For example, the product identifier may be encoded in a machine readable code on the packaging.
