Shield element for mounting on an object
A shield element for mounting on an object, in particular a flat object, such as a chip card. The object has a base body, an RFID or NFC transponder, a transponder chip and a coil-shaped transmission antenna connected to the RFID or NFC transponder chip. The shield element has a carrier made of non-conductive material. The carrier has a closed or closable conducting path which, upon mounting the shield element on the object, shields the object from the electromagnetic fields generated by an external reading device and directed at the transmission antenna of the RFID or NFC transponder chip.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR GAME TOKEN COIN
In a management system of a game token coin, one RFID tag having a data non-rewritable region and a data rewritable region is imparted to the game token coin. The location relating information of the game token coin is stored in the data rewritable region. The system includes a writer configured to additionally write the location relating information, a reader configured to read the location relating information from a plurality of the game token coins, and a management controller configure to examine the information obtained from the reader. The management controller includes a function that determines whether a history of the location relating information obtained from the reader has no abnormality.

The disclosure relates to secure data storage and retrieval, in particular to methods and circuits for securely storing data to reduce the possibility of leakage via side channel attacks. Embodiments disclosed include a method of storing a value comprising a series of words, the method comprising: i) combining in a series of XOR operations a word of a first portion of the value, a word of a second portion of the value and an output word of a first random number generator to provide a first combined word; ii) storing the first combined word in a shift register; and iii) repeating steps i) and ii) for each successive word of the first and second portions of the value.

Wearable device with integrated RFID or NFC chipset
A wearable device with integrated RFID or NFC chipset, includes: a microchip for management and encryption of radio-frequency communications in RFID or NFC standards; at least one antenna, including metal coils to transmit/receive signals in RFID or NFC standards and/or metal coils to generate the electric current required for operation; a memory chip for storing data and encryption keys, manageable by the microchip; a wearable object, integrating the components of the device; a reversible closing buckle for the wearable object, associated with the opposite ends of the coils of the antenna. The buckle can determine in the coils a point of discontinuity, capable of reversibly inhibiting the respective transmission/reception functions of signals in RFID or NFC standards and of generating electric current via electromagnetic induction, thereby preventing unauthorized transmission by the microchip of the data and of the encryption keys of the same, contained in the memory chip.
APPARATUS FOR USE WITH A NFC TAG READER
The apparatus comprises: a pair of panel portions; a hinge portion defining an axis from which each of the panel portions extends, the hinge portion being coupled to each of the panel portions and adapted to permit pivotal movement of the panel portions relative to one another about the axis between a closed position wherein the panels overlay one another one another and an open position wherein the panels extend away from one another; a near field communication tag coupled to one of the panel portions; and a shield defined by RF blocking material coupled to the other of the panel portions. The tag and shield are positioned and adapted such that: the tag can be activated by the reader when the panels are in the open position; and the shield isolates the tag from the reader when the panels are in the closed position.

Example embodiments of systems and methods for preventing chip fraud are provided. A chip fraud prevention system may comprise a device including a chip, wherein the chip is at least partially encompassed in a chip pocket. One or more connections may be communicatively coupled to one or more surfaces of the chip, and a capacitance member may be coupled to a surface of the chip. The capacitance member may comprise a known capacitance value and the chip may comprise a memory containing an applet, wherein the applet is configured to measure the capacitance value of the capacitance member.

Example embodiments of systems and methods for preventing chip fraud are provided. A chip fraud prevention system may comprise a device including a chip, wherein the chip is at least partially encompassed in a chip pocket.
