Method, Apparatus and Wearable Assembly
The method comprises reading an electronics module identifier for an electronics module (S101); reading a wearable article identifier for a wearable article associated with the electronics module (S102); and associating the electronics module identifier with the wearable article identifier (S103).
Real-Time Position Tracking and Alerting
A wearable device is described that is configured to alert a subject prior to encountering an obstacle. The subject may be visually-impaired. The device includes: a mobile transceiver tag adapted to be worn by a subject within a designated area (e.g., a swimming pool); three or more stationary transceiver beacons in spaced apart, fixed positions; a wearable signal output device (e.g., headset); and a processor with software that can calculate the subject's position relative to one or more obstacles (e.g., end of swimming lane) and sends a left, right, or reverse signal to the signal output device.
Smart badge system and method
Disclosed is a smart badge device that can be included into a private LTE network established in a facility. The device includes position tracking and estimating capabilities, and operates along with a cloud-based service suite. The cloud services act as a platform between the device and a number of facility software systems. The device also operates with internal and external equipment so that an administrator can track employees and establish data flow between the badge and the facility software systems.
Wearable RFID device for use in an event-based interrogation zone
A wearable RFID device is provided for use in an event-based interrogation zone. The zone contains terminals with RFID readers. The device has an element worn by a user and an attached or embedded RFID tag. The tag has stored data representing a UniqueID of the tag, and a stored funds balance. The tag is programmed to activate an otherwise inactive one of said terminals upon presentation of the tag to the RFID reader of said terminal in a first tap, and communicate its UniqueID to the terminal for validation. Upon validation and following a second tap of the tag at the RFID reader, the tag's stored funds balance can be changed by the amount of a transaction run through said terminal. A temporary installation of a system of RFID-based terminals and user-worn RFID devices is also provided for use within an event interrogation zone.
Arrangement and Assembly of a Set of Wristbands
An arrangement and/or assembly of a set of wristbands is disclosed. In some implementations, an arrangement of a set of wristbands may include a first wristband formed from a first portion of the wristband web. The arrangement may include a second wristband formed from a second portion of the wristband web. The first length of the first wristband may be different from a second length of the second wristband. The arrangement may include a cut formation, in the wristband web, that is between the first wristband and the second wristband. The cut formation may be configured to enable the first wristband to be separated from the second wristband.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROMINENTLY PROPAGATING ADVERTISEMENTS AND MESSAGES FROM A GARMENT
A system and method for prominently propagating advertisements and messages from a garment. The system and method provide a washable fabric section that contains a waterproof Near Field Communication (NFC) tag, and a logo label. The NFC tag and the logo label are disposed adjacent to each other, and separated by a fold line for easy visible delineation. The washable fabric section is integrated, possibly through sewing, into the washable fabric section. The washable fabric section, with the NFC tag and the logo is disposed at a prominently visible location on the garment, so as to enable widespread distribution of the advertisement or message through NFC technology. An NFC reader scans the NFC tag to read the data contained therein, which may include a web site, a social media platform, advertisements, and messages.
Telecommunication call management and monitoring system with voiceprint verification
Disclosed is a secure telephone call management system for authenticating users of a telephone system in an institutional facility. Authentication of the users is accomplished by using a personal identification number, preferably in conjunction with speaker independent voice recognition and speaker dependent voice identification. When a user first enters the system, the user speaks his or her name which is used as a sample voice print. During each subsequent use of the system, the user is required to speak his or her name. Voice identification software is used to verify that the provided speech matches the sample voice print. The secure system includes accounting software to limit access based on funds in a user's account or other related limitations. Management software implements widespread or local changes to the system and can modify or set any number of user account parameters.
Multi-antenna tuned wearable article
A wearable article, system, and method includes a structure configured to enclose a body part, a first antenna, in a first position on or within the structure, tuned to communicate according to a wireless communication modality through air, a second antenna, in a second position on or within the structure, tuned to communicate according to the wireless communication modality through the body part, the first antenna being tuned differently than the second antenna, and a transceiver, operatively coupled to at least one of the first antenna and the second antenna, configured to communicate with an external antenna via the at least one of the first and second antennas according to the wireless communication modality.
Smart device
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a body with a processor, a camera and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor.
Apparatus and method for recognizing gesture
Provided are a gesture recognition apparatus and method. The gesture recognition apparatus includes a first communication circuit configured to communicate with a wearable device worn on a first body part of a user, a memory in which a gesture recognition program is stored, and a processor configured to execute the gesture recognition program, wherein the processor receives motion information from the wearable device through the first communication circuit, checks a position of the wearable device, determines whether a gesture is to be recognized according to the position of the wearable device on the basis of the motion information, and executes a function corresponding to the gesture.
