Selections of correction processes for printing devices
In some examples, a system detects an error in an printing device, and selects a combination of a medium advance error correction process to address a medium advance error and a faulty nozzle correction process to address a faulty nozzle, where the selecting of the combination is from a plurality of different combinations of the medium advance error correction process and the faulty nozzle correction process, and the selecting is based on a criterion relating to an interaction between the medium advance error and faulty nozzle correction processes.

Image processing apparatus, printing apparatus, image processing method, and printing method
An image processing method includes performing first halftone processing and second halftone processing. The second halftone processing is performed, for a second kind of color in advance among a plurality of colors constituting an original image, in units of blocks each consisting of a plurality of pixels that constitute the original image and the second kind of color is converted into an amount of second kind of ink corresponding to the second kind of color among the plurality of inks. The first halftone processing is performed, for the first kind of color, for each pixel that constitutes the original image or each pixel group having a smaller number of pixels than the block and the first kind of color is converted into an amount of first kind of ink corresponding to the first kind of color among the plurality of inks.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a drawing data creating unit and a controller. The drawing data creating unit creates drawing data from a print job. The controller automatically sets at least one of a first dropping method of performing discharge in a drawing area and a second dropping method of performing the discharge outside the drawing area as a preliminary discharge method in accordance with a type of component elements of the created drawing data, and performs preliminary discharge in accordance with the set preliminary discharge method.
Method for Teaching Individuals About the Comprehension of Religious Texts by Synchronizing Contemporaneous Print, Visual and Audio Learning Opportunities
A method and resulting product of generating a bible torah or other religious text personalized to an intended recipient. The person giving the bible selects a characterization of a bible, such as a cowboy bible, truck driver's bible, lawyer's bible, children's bible, woman's bible and the like. Then the giver selects an age group of the intended recipient of the bible. Based on this information the system then presents a form for the giver to select from a list of problems experienced by said intended recipient. The giver is then given an opportunity to select additional passages from the bible or other sacred texts to be highlighted. A personalized message with sections highlighted which related to an intended recipients age and problems. This message can be a bound volume produced by the steps of feeding lightweight paper through a printer, printing using an inkjet technique or other relatively thinly deposited ink to print on said paper to result in producing printed paper, and binding said printed paper into a volume. The inventive combination may incorporate lightweight or ordinary paper in one volume of a scriptural or underlying religious text (such as the Holy Bible, the Torah, or the Qur'an) and a biographical text detailing the triumphs and hardships of the life of either a celebrated public figure or an extraordinary but seemingly every-day character. By cross-referencing these two texts, and packaging them in a single volume form where they can easily be flipped between, the teachings of a particular religious faith can be made more readily accessible to the public at large.
Printing system with multiple printers
The controller: upon receiving a print job, determine whether only one of a first printer and a second printer is under cleaning; upon determining that the only one of the first printer and the second printer is under cleaning, analyze whether a print processing based on the print job is a first print processing in which printing is executable by any of the first printer and the second printer or a second print processing in which printing is to be executed by both the first printer and the second printer; and upon analyzing that the print processing based on the print job is the first print processing, drive the other one of the first printer and the second printer which is not under cleaning to execute the first print processing.
METHOD FOR DENSITY COMPENSATION BY DROP SIZE ADAPTATION
A method for modifying color density values in a dot-based printing system uses a control unit. The control unit implements the modification of the color density values after a raster image has been created and modifies the number and/or size of print dots to be applied to a printing substrate in order to attain pre-defined color density target values.
MOVEMENT CONTROL DEVICE, INK-DROPLET EJECTION DEVICE, MOVEMENT CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A movement control device configured to determine whether the moving unit moved by a driving unit is in a stopped state at a position before a predetermined target stop position, and whether a difference between the detection position and the target stop position is equal to or smaller than a threshold difference, based on a detection position of the moving unit, after the moving unit starts deceleration operation, and switch a control of the driving unit to a position control based on the difference between the detection position and the target stop position, from a speed control based on a designated speed associated with the detection position to the target stop position, if the moving unit is in the stopped state at a position before the predetermined target stop position, and the difference is equal to or smaller than the threshold difference.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PRINTED MATERIAL
The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a transport mechanism 11 that transports a recording medium P; a coating device 24 that coats the recording medium P with a pretreatment liquid; an ink jet head 46; and a processor 300, in which the processor 300 is configured to, in a case where the recording medium P is transported at a first transportation speed and an ink is jetted from the ink jet head 46 to form an image on the recording medium P, perform control to cause the coating device 24 to perform coating with the pretreatment liquid, and in a case where the recording medium P is transported at a second transportation speed faster than the first transportation speed to form the image on the recording medium P, perform control to cause the coating device 24 not to perform coating with the pretreatment liquid.
ANALYSING IMAGE DATA TO COMPENSATE FOR A PRINTING ARTEFACT
The disclosure relates to the analysis of digital contone image data (302) to compensate for a printing artefact, by identifying overlapping segments (202, 204) where print agent is to be printed in adjacent bands of the image, and defining a compensation for the artefact in an edge region (208) of a segment (204) based on an evaluation of an artefact criterion. Adjusted digital contone image data (316) is defined based on the compensation.
