Electronic book system using electromagnetic energy to detect page numbers
An electronic book using electromagnetic energy to detect page numbers includes a book and a base, the book includes a plurality of book pages, each of the book pages is respectively provided with an electromagnetic energy changing member, and the base is provided with at least one antenna coil and at least one control circuit. The electromagnetic energy changing member of each of the book pages is correspondingly disposed adjacent to a position of the antenna coil, and a magnetic flux generated by the antenna coil is transmitted to the electromagnetic energy changing members. The electromagnetic energy changing members generate magnetic variable fluxes to be received by the antenna coil for generating a page number prompt output command by conversion to control generation of a prompt function of the book page correspondingly disposed adjacent to the position of the antenna coil.
System and method for retrieving information from an information carrier by means of a capacitive touch screen
The present invention relates to a method comprising providing one or more information carrier(s) with a dielectric and/or conductive pattern and a detection device having a capacitive touch screen and inducing an interaction between the information carrier and the touch screen, wherein the interaction is based on a difference in the dielectric coefficient and/or the conductivity of the pattern and generates a touch signal and wherein the interaction is induced by relative motion between the information carrier and the touch screen. The invention further relates to a system comprising an information carrier comprising a dielectric and/or conductive pattern which encodes information and a detection device having a touch screen; the detection device is able to decode the information upon interaction between the information carrier and the touch screen, wherein the interaction is caused by a difference in the dielectric coefficient and/or the conductivity of the pattern.
CARD READER
A card reader may include a card passage; a shutter member to close the card passage; a magnetic head on a rear side of the shutter member reads or records data in a magnetic strip of a card; an electrostatic capacitance sensor on the rear side or the shutter member; a first guide member which structures at least a part of a face on a first direction side of the card passage when one side in a thickness direction of the card passing the card passage is referred to as a first direction; and a second guide member which structures at least a part of a face on a second direction side of the card passage. The first guide member may include insulating material and the second guide member may include conductive material. The electrostatic capacitance sensor may be attached to the first guide member.
Home automation input interfaces based on a capacitive touchscreen for detecting patterns of conductive ink
An electronic device with a two-dimensional capacitance sensing area, a camera, one or more processors and memory detects a predefined capacitance distribution of an object that is placed on or near the two-dimensional capacitance sensing area. The object includes a predefined visual pattern on the object. The device, in response to detecting the predefined capacitance distribution of the object that is placed on or near the two-dimensional capacitance sensing area, performs a first predefined operation in accordance with first information encoded by the predefined capacitance distribution of the object. The device detects the predefined visual pattern on the object using the camera, and performs the first predefined operation in accordance with second information encoded in the predefined visual pattern detected using the camera.
SELECTIVE DIELECTRIC COATING
The invention relates to a capacitive, planar information carrier with a first, second and third electrically conductive area wherein the first electrically conductive area is overprinted with a first dielectric layer having a first relative permittivity ∈1 and wherein the third electrically conductive area is overprinted with a second dielectric layer having a second relative permittivity ∈2. In another aspect, the invention relates to an information carrier formed from an electrically conductive surface of an object or an electrically conductive object. In other aspects, the invention relates to methods for the manufacture of information carriers, methods for detecting information carriers and to the use of an information carrier.
CODE GENERATION DEVICE
The challenge of the present invention is to be able to use a large number of code generation apparatuses and to be able to identify each one.
In the apparatus, a plurality of electrodes detected by a change in a physical quantity detected by a touch panel by bringing it into contact with or by substantially into contact with the touch panel connected to a first information processing apparatus is arranged on a bottom surface of a housing, and the apparatus comprises a communication processing unit that is equipped with a housing formed of a conductive member connected to the plurality of electrodes and that enters a connected state based on at least a part of an electrode code with the first information processing apparatus that recognizes the electrode code formed based on electrodes detected by the touch panel among the plurality of electrodes.
CAPACITIVE INFORMATION CARRIER PATTERN INTEGRATED INTO PRINT PRODUCT ARTWORK
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a planar, capacitive information carrier comprising a graphic artwork and electrically conductive areas forming a code layout wherein the graphic artwork and code layout coincide. The coincidence of the graphic artwork and code layout makes it difficult for a user of the information carrier to differentiate between the aesthetic and functional parts of the information carrier. The information carrier may also comprise inactive electrically conductive elements for further distracting the attention of said user from the functional code layout. In another aspect, the invention relates to information carrier and a method for reading out an information carrier.
REDUCED INK COVERAGE OF PRINTED ELECTRONIC DESIGNS BY ALTERNATIVE FILL PATTERNS COMPRISING RAY AND GRID PATTERNS
The present invention relates to an information carrier comprising an electrically non-conductive substrate with an electrically conductive layer arranged as a pattern which encodes information, wherein said pattern is formed from at least one input region, at least one connecting line and at least one contact area. The information carrier is inter alia characterized in that the sub areas of the at least one input region have an area coverage in a range of 20 to 80% and/or the at least one contact area has an area coverage in a range of 5 to 80%. In further aspects, the invention relates to a use of said information carrier and a method of manufacture.
