LEGIBLE CONFIRMATION OF MATED CONNECTION SYSTEM
A connector assembly includes a first housing having an indicium imprinted thereon and a movable member movable from a first position configured to render the indicium illegible to an optical scanning device to a second position configured to render the indicium legible to the optical scanning device. The indicium is visible when the movable member is in the first position and when the movable member is in the second position. A method of mating a connector assembly having a movable member and an indicum imprinted thereon is also presented.
Boundary estimation systems and methods
A system or method can analyze symbols on a set of objects having different sizes. The system can identify a characteristic object dimension corresponding to the set of objects. An image of a first object can be received, and, a first virtual object boundary feature (e.g., edge) in the image can be identified for the first object based on the characteristic object dimension. A first symbol can be identified in the image, and whether the first symbol is positioned on the first object can be determined, based on the first virtual object boundary feature.
Identity verifying device and methods
A method for identity (ID) verification, including: acquiring one or more ID indications of at least one item using a hand held verifying device; automatically verifying by the verifying device a desired relation between the one or more acquired ID indications and stored verification data associated with the verifying device; physically marking the item using the verifying device with a verifying marking if the desired relation is automatically verified.
Data carrier, reading method and system utilizing super resolution techniques
The present invention relates to a method of reading out information from a data carrier and to a data carrier utilizing the concept of structured-illumination microscopy or saturated structured-illumination microscopy.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an information processing device to realize more efficient reading of a target code. The information processing device includes an acquisition unit that acquires a target code from a captured image to acquire information from the target code. The acquisition unit acquires a target code from a captured image of a tile code in which a plurality of identical target codes are arranged at predetermined intervals.
ANIMATING QR CODE FOR MOBILE PAYMENT
A mobile computing system comprises a transitory memory storing QR code animation information, wherein the QR code animation information comprises reassembling QR codes from a plurality of animation frames. A mobile payment provider generates a QR code, wherein the QR code authorizes a payment transaction between a shopper and a merchant. The QR code is split into a plurality of frames for animation display. The plurality of frames is reassembled to obtain a second QR code. The second QR code is provided to the mobile payment provider. The mobile payment provider generates information to enable the merchant to conduct the payment transaction with the shopper on the second device, wherein the information uniquely identifies the merchant account and ties the payment transaction to the shopper device. Further, the mobile payment provider provides the transactional information to the merchant.
GAMING CHIP AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A management system includes a recording device recording an image of a gaming chip and an inspection device determining a type and authenticity of the gaming chip. The gaming chip has a multilayer structure in which both sides of a colored layer are sandwiched between light color layers, surface printing representing a type of the gaming chip is performed on outer sides of the light color layers, and an authenticity recognition mark is printed on the colored layer of an inside of the light color layers by an infrared absorbing material. A visible light camera photographs a visible light image of the surface printing, and an infrared light camera photographs an infrared image of the internal printing. The inspection device determines the type and authenticity of the gaming chip using the visible light image and the infrared image.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DEPOYING A MOBILE DEVICE AS A DATA SOURCE IN AN IOT SYSTEM
An example Internet of Things (IoT) sensor application hosted on a mobile device is configured to add the mobile device as a data sensor or source in the IoT system. The IoT sensor application is configured to provide an interface between an input or output component of the mobile device and a data pipeline or application and/or to cloud data storage associated with an IoT system. The loT sensor application is configured to connect to an edge device of the IoT system and search for a data source identifier associated with the type of data source component, and corresponding application(s) and/or data pipeline(s) to which the data source is connected. Once connected, the IoT sensor application provides captured data to or receives processed or playback data from the data source.
ASSET VERIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USING SAME
An asset verification system, comprising: a reader comprising a holder configured to hold an asset in a tag-reading position, a light source consisting of at least one light to provide illumination to the asset, magnifying optics configured with an effective magnification for both sufficiently separating dots in a tag in the body of the asset and viewing the tag at an effective magnification greater than 10×, reflective optics for conveying an image of the tag through the reader, and, position controls for adjusting the positioning of the asset with respect to the magnifying optics; a multi-function hardware device comprising an optical sensor for reading the tag of the asset projected to the optical sensor by the reader; and, a database having information related to the asset including an association of the tag to the asset stored thereon.
EYE GAZE DETECTION CONTROLLED INDICIA SCANNING SYSTEM AND METHOD
By tracking a user's eyes, an indicia scanning system can make educated guesses as to what the user is interested in. This insight could be useful in dynamically configuring a camera system, configuring an indicia decoding process or even as a method to select data that the user is interested in.
