Systems and methods of providing content selection are provided. For instance, one or more signals indicative of a user selection of an object displayed within a user interface can be received. Responsive to receiving the one or more signals, a content attribute associated with one or more objects displayed within the user interface can be identified. A content entity can be determined based at least in part on the content attribute and the user selection. One or more relevant actions can then be determined based at least in part on the determined content entity. Data indicative of the relevant actions can then be provided for display.

A mark irradiation unit (130) irradiates an object with a mark. An image capture unit (140) captures an image of the object, and generates image data. Then, an image capture area data generation unit recognizes a position of the mark in the object, and cuts out image capture area data which is a part of the image data on the basis of the mark. For this reason, the mark irradiation unit (130) irradiates the object with the mark, and thus even when a positioning symbol is not printed on the object to be stored as the image data, only a necessary portion in the image data is cut out.

Some aspects of the invention relate to a mobile apparatus including an image sensor configured to convert an optical image into an electrical signal. The optical image includes an image of a vehicle license plate. The mobile apparatus includes a license plate detector configured to process the electrical signal to recover information from the vehicle license plate image. The mobile apparatus includes an interface configured to transmit the vehicle license plate information to a remote apparatus and receive a broadcast radio service offer corresponding to the vehicle license plate image in response to the transmission.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for receiving user input that invokes digital assistant functionality; obtaining screen data indicating content displayed on a screen of the computing device; determining a classification for an entity referenced in the content indicated by the screen data; determining a suggested request that refers to the entity based on the determined classification; and providing the suggested request in response to receiving the user input that invokes the digital assistant functionality.

The subject matter of this specification can be implemented in, among other things, a method that includes identifying edges of a section of a document in a source image that includes at least one row of text. The method includes identifying characters in the document. The method includes identifying word portions. The method includes generating polynomials that approximate points of the characters within the word portions. The method includes generating a second polynomial that approximates the points of the characters of word portions. The method includes identifying a stretching coefficient of the row of text based on a length of the section between the edges relative to a length of the second polynomial. The method includes mapping portions of the source image along the row of text to new positions in a corrected image based on the second polynomial and the stretching coefficient.

Embodiments of the present invention provide for improving the capacity, speed, confidence, and efficiency of processing systems for processing resources instruments by utilizing predictive determination of resource instrument information from one or more resource instruments. As such, while processing resource instruments, instead of capturing all of the resource instrument information from the resource instruments, the present invention utilizes predictive determination of the resource instrument information in order to reduce the processing capacity needed, the processing run-times, processing errors, and unnecessary processing depending on the resource instruments and/or resource processing channels being used.

Systems and methods for recognition of unreadable characters on printed circuit boards. In some embodiments, a method for recognizing characters can be utilized for recognition of damaged characters on a printed circuit board. The method can include obtaining a digital image for each of a plurality of characters on the printed circuit board. The method can further include dividing each digital image into an array of regions. The method can further include generating a data structure from the arrays of the digital images. The data structure can include gradient features based on stroke shapes on small distances, structural features based on stroke trajectories on extended distances, and concavity features based on stroke relationships.

Various embodiments of a method and system for capturing and utilizing item attributes are described. Various embodiments may include a mobile image capture apparatus, which may include a computer system configured to execute an image capture application. The image capture application may instruct an agent to capture an image of an item label. A data extraction component may be configured to process the images captured by the mobile image capture apparatus. For a given captured image, the data extraction component may in various embodiments be configured to perform OCR to determine one or more strings of characters from the image. The data extraction component may be further configured to determine whether one or more patterns match a determined string of characters. In response to the detection of a particular pattern matching a particular string of characters, the data extraction component may extract and store an attribute of the corresponding item.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, to generate a scannable document. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a scan request, wherein the scan request includes a plurality of text images; for each text image of the plurality of text images: rectifying the text image to generate a text image with parallel image lines, generating a plurality of word bounding boxes that enclose one or more connected components in the text image, wherein each word bounding box is associated with a respective word, and generating, for each respective word in the text image, a plurality of points that represent the respective word; combining the plurality of text images to form a single text document; and providing the combined image as a scannable document.

An apparatus for providing guidance for image capture includes a recognition module that recognizes data objects in data available to an image capture device. At least a portion of the data includes characters. The apparatus includes a context module that determines a context associated with a first image available from the image capture device. The context includes one or more expected data objects, where the first image includes at least a portion of the recognized data objects. The apparatus includes a data module that compares the expected data objects for the determined context, with the recognized data objects from the first image to identify missing expected data objects not found in the first image. The apparatus includes a guidance module that, in response to identified missing data, provides guidance for capturing a second image expected to include the missing expected data objects.
