A device includes a recording medium housed in each of cells; an optically readable ID display part provided on a surface of the recording medium; an accessor that is movable to a position, which faces the ID display part, in an arrangement direction of the cells, and has an optical reading unit which optically reads an ID displayed in the ID display part; and a control unit that controls the optical reading unit. If the ID has not been read while the reading is tried a predetermined number of times, the control unit replaces the exposure value with another value to retry the reading. If the ID has not been read even though the exposure value was replaced a predetermined number of times, the control unit relatively moves the optical reading unit and the target cell and makes the optical reading unit read the ID again.

Depth sensor based auto-focus system for an indicia scanner

An indicia reading terminal has a three-dimensional depth sensor, a two dimensional image sensor, an autofocus lens assembly, and a processor. The three dimensional depth sensor captures a depth image of a field of view and create a depth map from the depth image, the depth map having one or more surface distances. The two dimensional image sensor receives incident light and capture an image therefrom. The autofocusing lens assembly is positioned proximate to the two dimensional image sensor such that the incident light passes through the autofocusing lens before reaching the two dimensional image sensor. The processor is communicatively coupled to the two dimensional image sensor, the three dimensional depth sensor, and the autofocusing lens assembly.

The fingerprint recognition area is provided with an array of transparent thin film transistors and a transparent medium among the transparent thin film transistors. The terminal includes the display screen described above, and further includes an optical fingerprint module and a frame. The display screen and the optical fingerprint module are fixed on the frame. The optical fingerprint module is on one side of the display screen away from a user of the display screen for display and located in a position corresponding to the fingerprint recognition area, so as to allow lights transmitted and received to pass through the fingerprint recognition area.

A confidence level is determined based on the data and verified signature data. If the level exceeds the threshold, an electronic document including the signature data generates.
