This application disclosures a method and system for detecting a centerline of a vessel. The method may include obtaining image data, wherein the image data may include vessel data; selecting two endpoints of the vessel based on the vessel data; transforming the image data to generate a transformed image based on at least one image transformation function; and determining a path of the centerline of the vessel connecting the first endpoint of the vessel and the second endpoint of the vessel to obtain the centerline of the vessel based on the transformed image. The two endpoints of the vessel may include a first endpoint of the vessel and a second endpoint of the vessel.

A system and method that allows the capture of a series of images to create a single linear panoramic image is disclosed. The method includes capturing an image, dynamically comparing a previously captured image with a preview image on a display of a capture device until a predetermined overlap threshold is satisfied, generating a user interface to provide feedback on the display of the capture device to guide a movement of the capture device, and capturing the preview image with enough overlap with the previously captured image with little to no tilt for creating a linear panorama.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving a scan request, wherein the scan request includes a plurality of text images; for each text image of the plurality of text images: rectifying the text image to generate a text image with parallel image lines, generating a plurality of word bounding boxes that enclose one or more connected components in the text image, wherein each word bounding box is associated with a respective word, and generating, for each respective word in the text image, a plurality of points that represent the respective word; combining the plurality of text images to form a single text document; and providing the combined image as a scannable document.
Detection of transitions between text and non-text frames in a video stream
Detecting the start of a credit roll within video program may allow for the automatic extension of video recordings among other functions. The start of the credit roll may be detected by determining the number of text blocks within a sequence of frames and identifying a point in the sequence of frames where a difference between the number of text blocks in frames occurring before the point and the number of text blocks in frames occurring after the point is greatest and exceeds a specified threshold. Text blocks may be identified within each frame by partitioning the frame into one or more segments and recording the segments having a pixel of a sufficiently high contrast. Contiguous segments may be merged or combined into single blocks, which may then be filtered to remove noise and false positives. Additional content may be inserted into the credit roll frames.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STRAIGHTENING CURVED PAGE CONTENT
The page straightening system includes a word module to determine an enclosing quadrilateral of each connected component of curved page content. Further, a line module in the page straightening system is configured to form text lines by joining enclosing quadrilaterals based on a reading order. A method and system identifies and addresses imaging artifacts in an image of a financial document to enable a software system to provide financial services based on the image of the financial document. The method and system receive document image data, extract image features from the document image data, and apply the image features to an analytics model to generate an image classification, according to one embodiment. The method and system use the image classification to determine whether the document image data contains one or more particular image artifacts (e.g., Moiré patterns), according to one embodiment. If the software system determines that it is likely that the document image data contains one or more particular image artifacts, then the software system applies a filter (e.g., a median filter) to the document image data to reduce and/or remove the one or more particular image artifacts, according to one embodiment.
