20220391660 · 2022-12-08 ·

The invention relates to a counter for coupling to a measuring mechanism of a fluid meter, wherein an output of measuring mechanism gear is in operative engagement with a gear on the side of the counter, the gear on the counter being designed to adapt to the rotational direction of the measuring mechanism by means of a change wheel. The invention also relates to a counter, which can be connected to a modular base plate system via a mechanical interface, wherein the base plates of this system can be designed having differently arranged detent or engagement elements.

DOSE COUNTING MECHANISM

The present invention relates to dose counting mechanisms for medicament inhaler devices, for example metered-dose inhaler (MDI) devices. In particular, the invention relates to a counter comprising a counting component (20,620), a locking element (46,646) for resisting movement of the counting component (20,620), and a distinct driving element (70,670) for driving movement of the counting component (20,620). The locking and driving elements are actuated by movement of a common element to move the locking element (46,646) out of engagement with the counting component (20,620) and to move the driving element (70,670). The driving element (70,670) applies a motive force to the counting component (20,620) before the locking element (46,646) fully disengages from the counting component (20,620).

HANDHELD DEVICE WITH A COUNTER AND COUNTER

A counter for a handheld device for dispensing a pharmaceutical substance, has a housing, at least one counter wheel which has readable characters, and a drive part which is designed to rotate the counter wheel, the counter wheel being rotatably attached to a mounting part. The mounting part of the counter is designed independently of the housing, and the drive part is directly attached to the mounting part. The counter can have at least one counter wheel which has readable characters and a drive part which is designed to rotate the counter wheel. The counter wheel has readable characters and is designed in a cylindrical manner and with a central axis, and has a drive part which is designed to rotate the counter wheel, the counter wheel being provided with an engagement toothing via which the drive part acts on the counter wheel so as to rotate same, the drive part having a rotational axis.

Injection device with dose indicator mechanism

An injection device comprises a housing, a dose indicator positioned within the housing and a dose selector operatively connectable to the dose indicator. The dose selector and the dose indicator are capable of cooperating with one another to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. The dose indicator comprises an odometer including: i. a units (218) wheel operatively connected to the dose selector so that rotation of the dose selector also rotates the units wheel, and ii. a tens wheel (219) selectively engageable with the units wheel so that rotation of the units wheel also rotates the tens wheel. The dose indicator further comprises an axially-moveable shuttle lock (222) rotationally locked to the tens wheel and selectively engageable with the units wheel and the housing. The tens wheel is selectively engageable with the units wheel via said shuttle lock and, when the tens wheel is not engaged with the units wheel, the shuttle lock is rotationally locked to the housing.

Dose Feedback Mechanisms and Assemblies for User Feedback
20220134027 · 2022-05-05 ·

The present disclosure relates to a medicament dispenser for dispensing medicament. The dispenser may be for use in dispensing medicament in a liquid, pressurized aerosol, pre-filled container and in any medicament dispenser where dose related feedback is required. Mechanisms and assemblies provide dose related feedback to the user of the medicament dispenser and the physical interfaces and attributes associated with providing such feedback. The present disclosure also relates to dose feedback assemblies that can be adapted to various form factors, various individual components and elements of the container-closure system, and/or various target user interfaces. The dispenser is suited for dispensing propellant based pressurized inhalation aerosols for oral and/or nasal delivery; aqueous or non-aqueous systems for oral and/or nasal delivery; liquid dispensers for nasal delivery, multi-dose pre-filled syringes or pens; or dispensers for intra-muscular or subcutaneous delivery and powders for pulmonary administration and tablets, capsules, pellets or agglomerates for oral administration. The dispenser may dispense a propellant based pressurized inhalation aerosol comprising one or more active pharmaceutical ingredient(s) (API) and optionally, one or more propellant, cosolvent, solubilizer, emulsifier, surfactant, salt, acid and micronized or non-micronized pharmaceutically acceptable carrier(s) and/or excipient(s), wherein the dispensing process includes a press and breathe type or breath actuated or other multi-step operation medicament dispensers.

Finger-mounted mechanical counter

The finger-mounted mechanical counter is a numerical counter that may be worn on the finger of a user. First, second and third wheels each have a set of indicia formed thereon, each set of indicia being a circumferentially arrayed set of integers, such as a continuous range from 0 to 9. The first, second and third wheels are rotatably mounted within a housing having corresponding first, second and third slots formed therein for display of the corresponding indicia. The housing defines a central passage which is adapted for receiving the finger of the user. After a full rotation of the first wheel, the second wheel is rotated by a single increment, and after full rotation of the second wheel, the third wheel is rotated by a single increment, allowing for consecutive counting from single digits to double digits to triple digits.
