DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONVEYING PRODUCTS
A device for conveying products within an industrial line, comprising a conveyor transporting a stream of products along at least one line. The device comprises at least one main zone delimited by primary beacons and covering a segment of the stream; and above the conveyor, at least one member for detecting the primary beacons and for counting the number of products at least inside the main zone. Also a method for conveying products, in which a stream of products is transported along at least one line and, by means of primary beacons at least one main zone is delimited, covering a segment of the stream; the primary beacons are detected and the number of products in the main zone is counted.

Device and method for adjusting a signal for an object detector
An object counting device adjusts a signal to account for noise to improve object counting accuracy. A controller receives an electromagnetic radiation (e.g., light) intensity signal from radiation detectors and determines that its value is within a voltage threshold, thereby indicating that no object is passing through the radiation. The controller determines a derivative of the signal and that the derivative is less than a derivative threshold level for at least a predefined time. The controller then updates a base noise floor value to be the value of the radiation intensity signal to account for particles within a path of the electromagnetic radiation to improve an object counting accuracy. In some embodiments, the processor can scale the received radiation intensity signal in accordance with the updated base noise floor value.

APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING BARS WITH CYLINDRICAL SHAPE
An apparatus for transporting a plurality of bars having an axial direction is disclosed. The apparatus includes a storage device and a conveying device. The storage device includes an accommodating area configured to accommodate the plurality of bars side by side along a first direction substantially perpendicular to the axial direction; a first ramp having a front end and a rear end, wherein the front end is adjacent to the accommodating area and receives the plurality of bars sequentially, and the received plurality of bars roll from the front end to the rear end on the first ramp in a second direction; and a counting device adjacent to the rear end and operable to allow a predetermined quantity of the plurality of bars to exit the storage device in the second direction. The conveying device includes a receiving end, an output end and a second ramp.

INDIVIDUAL BOTTLE INDEXING CONTAINER
An indexing container for beverage containers includes a base wall and a pair of side walls extending upward from the base wall to partially define a storage portion. A counter determines a number of beverage containers stored in the indexing container. A display indicates the number of beverage containers stored in the indexing container.
Counting bar-shaped products based upon acquired images
A conveyor element (2) of a conveyor device conveys bar-shaped products (1) orthogonal to a longitudinal direction (x) of the bar-shaped products (1) oriented in a conveying direction (y). A trigger device (3) provides a trigger signal (S) each time the conveyor element (2) has travelled a predetermined interval. Based upon the respective trigger signal (S), an image (B) is acquired by a camera (4). The image (B) shows front ends of the products (1) in a respective section of the conveyor element (2) corresponding at least to the predetermined interval. Based upon the acquired images (B), the number of bar-shaped products (1) conveyed by the conveyor element (2) is determined.
