An urban transformation and construction method is disclosed that creates a tropical style swimming lagoon at vacant and/or abandoned sites. The transformation includes demolishing at least part of the vacant or abandoned site, excavating material from within the site; forming a basin for a large water body having a surface area of at least 3,000 m2, and constructing water containment walls on a first section of the basin to form a waterfront perimeter. The shape of the waterfront perimeter is mainly curved, the basin has a maximum width of 300 meters, and the bottom is covered with a non-permeable material. A sloped access area is constructed in a second section of the basin to form a beach. A barrier is constructed to control access into the area including the beach. At least one recreational facility is constructed including restaurants, bars, kiosks, stores, and/or cafes about the waterfront perimeter.

Financial transaction data of the user may be reviewed to determine the user purchased one or more tickets to an event at the venue. Information regarding the event or the venue may be determined including seating charts for the venue and whether the tickets are for assigned or unassigned seats. Crowd densities inside and outside of the venue may be determined. The pedestrian route may be determined based on the crowd densities, number of tickets, and type of seating. The route may be updated as conditions change including any change to the crowd densities or change to seating availability. The route may increase a likelihood that the user reaches the seating area prior to a start of the event, and in a less stressful manner.

An image printing system includes a plurality of image printing apparatuses each configured to accept a print order and print the image data, a payment machine performing a billing process, and a ticketing machine. If payment at the payment machine is selected, the image printing apparatus issues a first ticket and transmits order details to the payment machine. An access control system for electric vehicle charging is provided that includes an access device, a secure reservation interface, a reservation server and a smartphone application installed on the smartphone. The access device includes a short-range wireless communication module connected to a processor having control of an electric vehicle charger. The secure reservation interface receives a reservation request for a reservation at a given destination. The reservation server receives the reservation request for the destination, issues a reservation certificate, and transmits the reservation certificate from the reservation server to a smartphone. The smartphone application has access to a short range wireless communication setting corresponding to the access device. The processor activates the electric vehicle charger based on at least the receipt of the reservation certificate.

A method of operating a carwash includes driving a vehicle to a point of sale station of the carwash, purchasing a carwash transaction, and taking a first picture of a license plate number of the vehicle after the completion of the purchase of the carwash transaction at the point of sale station. The license plate number is associated with the carwash transaction as a carwash ticket. The vehicle is then sent to a carwash queue disposed downstream of the point of sale station. The carwash ticket information is sent to a carwash tunnel. A second picture of the license plate number of the vehicle is taken right as it approaches the carwash tunnel. The license plate number is associated with the carwash ticket and the vehicle is washed according to a wash dictated by the carwash ticket.
