COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS AND REDUCING FRAUD
A systems and method for reconfigurable and/or updatable lightweight electronic devices are disclosed for a computer system for facilitating financial transactions and reducing the opportunity for fraud. Via use of such a device, system, or method, various capabilities for a user are provided, simplified, secured, and/or made more convenient. The system may interact with various other devices or systems, including those that are cloud-based or communicate through the cloud, and may utilize various local sensors, in order to provide one or more of improved access, monitoring, user diagnostics, and so forth.
Method for personal data administration in a multi-actor environment
A method for personal data administration in a multi-actor environment is performed by a system that includes a data management process managed by a remote server. The system includes a user profile that is associated to a user PC device and includes a set of data management protocols and a user data registry. The system also includes a third-party account that is associated to an account ID and a third-party data registry. The method begins when a data transmission notification is received by the remote server. The remote server analyzes the notification to select an appropriate protocol from the data management protocols. The method then executes the data management protocol, makes a record of the interaction, and transmits an outgoing data packet to the third-party account. The method then monitors the outgoing data packet to determine if the user data contained therein has been transferred interacted or tampered with.
Efficient propagation of user data across disparate systems
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for fluid blob tracking. One of the methods includes receiving from a user device, a request to change an address with a financial institution. The method includes accessing an electronic bill pay system of the financial institution. The method includes identifying an external party to notify of the change of address based on data in an electronic bill pay system. The method also includes notifying the external party of the change of address, wherein the external party is independent of the financial institution.
Pre-authorization of non-activated payment instruments at specific merchants
The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer-implemented methods for pre-authorizing transactions using unactivated payment instruments at specific merchants. One example method includes receiving a transaction request associated with a no card present (NCP) transaction and a first credit account. In response to determining that the first credit account is associated with an unactivated payment instrument, a determination is made as to whether the credit account is associated with at least one pre-authorization rule for authorizing NCP transactions prior to activation of a payment instrument associated with the corresponding credit account is associated with the first credit account. If it is, a set of pre-authorization criteria associated with the at least one pre-authorization rule is identified, and the set of transaction data associated with the transaction request is compared to the criteria. If the transaction request satisfies the criteria, the transaction request is authorized and an authorization is transmitted.
Prepaid card funding for single transaction
A computer-implemented method for prepaid card funding for a single transaction includes receiving, from a client, a request for funding a single transaction using a payment vehicle, providing funds for the single transaction with the payment vehicle, notifying the client that the funds are available for the single transaction with the payment vehicle, receiving notification from the client that the single transaction with the payment vehicle has been completed, and unloading remaining funds from the payment vehicle, such that no funds remain with the payment vehicle.
Method and system for multi-modal transaction authentication
This invention relates to systems and methods for authenticating transactions using a mobile device based primarily on the introduction of a layer of middleware and wherein the Payment Networks, Merchants, Issuing Banks, Credit Reporting Bureaus, Insurance Companies, Healthcare Providers may customize the implementation of the services based on individual strategy and consumer preferences.
If it is, a set of pre-authorization criteria associated with the at least one pre-authorization rule is identified, and the the set of transaction data associated with the transaction request is compared to the criteria. If the transaction request satisfies the criteria, the transaction request is authorized and an authorization is transmitted.
Software-based switch for providing products and/or services to users without compromising their privacy
An online service provisioning process is provided during which the service provider's knowledge about the user to whom the service is delivered does not increase. This is accomplished by presenting user attribute information to the service provider as obfuscated objects that can be independently verified and which are privacy preserving.
PROVISIONING OF SECURE APPLICATION
Methods and devices for provisioning a secure application on an electronic device with first issuer data for a first issuer are described. In an embodiment, the provisioning system receives and stores first issuer records. The example provisioning system receives a provisioning request to provision the secure application with the first issuer data. The provisioning request includes identifying information. The example provisioning system evaluates the provisioning request based on at least one of the first issuer evaluation criteria, the first issuer records and the identifying information in the provisioning request. When the provisioning request satisfies the first issuer evaluation criteria, the example provisioning system generates a signal using the communication module to provide the first issuer data to the electronic device to provision the secure application on the electronic device.
Multi-merchant concomitant-use point-of-sale device
This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for synchronizing data between merchants' inventories, and techniques for utilizing the data synchronization to process cross-merchant transactions. For instance, a system may store a first inventory of items indicating first items offered for purchase by a first merchant and a second inventory of items indicating second items offered for purchase by a second merchant. The system may then analyze the first inventory of items with respect to the second inventory of items to determine that the second merchant should offer a first item from the first items for purchase at a physical establishment of the second merchant on behalf of the first merchant. The system can then provide a merchant device of the second merchant with access to the second inventory of items and the first item from the first inventory of items.
