A method and system are provided for validating a promotional token redeemed at a Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminal, can include receiving, at the Point of Sale (PoS) terminal located at a physical retail location, a promotional token ID from a mobile device associated with a customer. The promotional token ID can be configured to uniquely identify a promotional token to promote a consumer packaged good (CPG) distributed on a social media platform. A CPG is entered at the PoS terminal to determine a CPG ID configured to uniquely identify the CPG. Next, a validation request is generated. The validation request comprises the promotional token ID and the CPG ID. The validation request is then transferred to a server having access to a private blockchain ledger. Upon completion, the PoS terminal will receive, from the server, the redemption status for the promotional token ID based on information stored in the private blockchain ledger responsive to the validation request.

Systems and methods are provided for managing shared expenses. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider identifying shared expenses in a customer's transaction history with software application executed on a server or personal computing device. The financial service provider may identify other individuals with whom the customer shares the expense, and send requests for reimbursement on the customer's behalf. The financial service provider ay monitor the status of reimbursement payments, and send reminders as necessary until the shared expense has been reimbursed.

An example system may include a plurality of royalty generating elements (a royalty stack) each related to a corresponding one or more of a plurality of intellectual property (IP) assets (an aggregate stack of IP). The system may further include a royalty apportionment wrapper to interpret IP licensing terms and apportion royalties to a plurality of owning entities corresponding to the aggregate stack of IP in response to the IP licensing terms and a smart contract wrapper. The smart contract wrapper is configured to access a distributed ledger, interpret an IP description value and IP addition request, to add an IP asset to the aggregate stack of IP, and to adjust the royalty stack.

According to one embodiment, contact content including an associated GPS identifier and status for web-based social network members located at or near the same location automatically appears on a GPS-enabled device. A further exemplary system includes a GPS-enabled device configured to receive a GPS identifier and a status representing a location and a current state for a web-based social network member, a processing module that associates the received GPS-identifier and the received status, and a communications module that sends the associated GPS-identifier and status to a server comprising a web-based social network database. Contact content in a web-based social network database record in the web-based social network database is updated to include the associated GPS identifier and status for the web-based social network member.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine a first orientation in which a computing system is positioned. A first functionality can be provided when the computing system is positioned in the first orientation. It can be determined that the computing system becomes positioned in a second orientation. Systems and methods are described herein for detecting information that indicates that a user will be traveling from a first geographic location to a second geographic location, and responsively accessing a playlist indicated by a profile of the user that indicates a plurality of streaming media that the user intends to consume. Control circuitry may then compare data corresponding to each streaming media of the plurality of streaming media to a database to determine whether each streaming media of the plurality of streaming media is accessible to the user at the second geographic location, and may determine that a subset of the plurality of media is not accessible to the user at the second geographic location. In response to determining that the subset is not accessible to the user at the second geographic location, the control circuitry may download each media of the subset.
