This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for automating transfers of funds from a deposit account of a user to a savings account of the user based on historical transaction data associated with the deposit account. Using historical deposits and withdrawals from the deposit account, a prediction may be made regarding deposits to, and withdrawals from, the deposit account that will occur in a future period. Based on that that information and a balance to maintain in the deposit account for the duration of the future period, the amount of funds to transfer from the deposit account to the savings account may be determined. The techniques may further include transferring the funds to the savings account once determined.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR POINT OF SALE PAYMENT USING A MOBILE DEVICE

To conduct a payment transaction at a merchant's point of sale using a mobile device, the mobile device initiates an authenticated communication session with a payment agent. The payment agent is an entity responsible for facilitating a payment transaction between the merchant and purchaser via their respective financial institutions. During the authenticated communication session, response to an input indicating the user of the mobile device wishes to make a payment, the mobile device generates a unique payment key that is based on at least one unique data of the mobile device. The mobile device transmits the payment key to the payment agent, and then transfers a copy of the payment key to the point of sale system. The merchant's payment system that transmits the payment key to the payment agent in a transaction request. The payment agent then verifies that the received payment key is the same as they received from the mobile device, and that the authenticated communication session is still valid, and then approves the transaction.

Intelligent loan offering at a point of sale

In some examples, a computing device receives, from a point of sale (POS) device of a merchant, an authorization request for authorizing a payment instrument for a transaction for an item. The computing device sends an authorization approval to the POS device, and determines that a user is eligible for a loan for an amount and the loan is to be repaid at a particular frequency during a period of time. The computing device determines that an amount of the transaction is less than or equal to the amount, and causes an offer for the loan to be presented via a user interface of a payment application that is executable by a user device of the user. Based on acceptance of the loan, the computing device applies the loan funds to the transaction for the item, and the loan is repaid at the particular frequency.

Technologies for initial provisioning and refilling of medical devices

A system includes: a processor; a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory stores a first content; a medical device coupled to the processor; and a reader coupled to the processor, wherein the reader is configured to read a second content from a storage medium other than the memory such that the processor switches the medical device from a first mode to a second mode based on the first content corresponding to the second content.

Distributed database stored at an edge application

Systems and methods for reducing latency in transactions are described herein. In an embodiment, an application edge acts as a system of record for an application. When a client computing device sends a request to perform a transaction to the application, the application edge receives the request and, without forwarding the request to a backend computing network, searches a transaction datastore stored at the application edge for the account balance and responds to the client computing device with the account balance. The client computing device then determines that a transaction can be performed and sends a request to perform the transaction to the application. The application edge passes this request to the backend computing network which performs the requested transaction. The application edge then uses a webhook infrastructure to update each transaction datastore stored at the application edge.

ENHANCED REBATE PROGRAM
20230237526 · 2023-07-27 · ·

Systems and methods are described for providing an enhanced rebate and marketing program which may automatically enroll a consumer in a loyalty programs after the consumer completes rebate form; filter consumer information to provide to customer relationship management campaigns; capture real-time consumer responses to queries; provide real-time and dynamic, targeted offers and other communications to consumers and recipients; and provide bonus added value to consumer received rebates.

Method and apparatus for a payment network

The present system is a payment network that implements an ecosystem in which banks can issue financial products (e.g. credit cards, debit cards, and the like) and customers are able to pay in any commerce without the need for card association networks. The streamlined nature of the system allows interchange fees to be substantially reduced over current systems. In addition, the system is all digital, so that physical security features are not required. The system provides an application for a customer that can be used on a mobile phone or other computing device, downloadable point-of-sale (POS) applications that can be used for commerce, and a web based POS application for commerce. The customer application includes a marketplace and an e-wallet in one embodiment. The customer can use the marketplace to acquire and link financial products produced by the banks with the customer's e-wallet.

Zero-step authentication using wireless-enabled mobile devices

A zero-step authentication system and method which uses wireless mobile devices to automatically make payments in a secure manner without requiring the customer to handle his or her mobile device. The system and method uses a payment facilitation device at the business location which automatically detects and recognizes registered mobile devices, displays a photo of the customer to a business employee for identity confirmation, and automatically deducts payments for purchases from a pre-authorized customer account. The customer account is managed by a payment processing server, which stores the customer account data, makes appropriate deductions, sends confirmation of deductions to the customer's mobile device, and automatically refills the customer's account by making pre-authorized charges to the customer's banking institution.

Retail HSA funding and payment mechanism

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments describing the creation and funding of tax-advantaged accounts at a point-of-sale. By immediately funding the tax-advantaged account at the point-of-sale using a funding and payment mechanism, the disclosed embodiments may effectively and instantly fund a tax-advantaged account at a point-of-sale. The funding and payment mechanism overcomes the lapse in availability of funds inherent in legacy systems. Thus, an account holder may then immediately pay a provider from the tax-advantaged account for qualified expenses. The disclosure also presents a credit feature allowing prospective account holders to initially fund the tax-advantaged account. At the point-of-sale, the prospective account holder may link their newly created tax-advantaged account to other accounts, allowing the system to detect potential over-contributions. The disclosure also presents a retroactive analysis feature that analyzes linked accounts to create tax-advantaged transactions in transactions completed earlier in a plan year.

CONTENT ANTI-PIRACY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230222188 · 2023-07-13 ·

A software and/or hardware facility that can be used by content owners to assert ownership of content so that copyright friendly websites and services can take action against copyright piracy effectively, efficiently and is scalable is disclosed. The facility makes available to all content owners watermarking/fingerprinting technology so an identifier (e.g., a unique code) can be embedded in the content (e.g., video/audio portion of each video content asset). The facility utilizes blockchain technology to add information related to each unique identifier in a database and allows an authorized user (e.g., the owner) to update the information through a blockchain transaction.
