According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic shelf label includes a display configured to receive a touch input from a user and display information to the user on a screen; and a controller configured to control the screen displayed by the display based on the input received through the display, the display is configured to receive a division input from the user, and the controller is configured to determine type of division input, generate a plurality of virtual cells by dividing the screen based on the determination result thereof, and assign a unique code to each of the plurality of virtual cells.

According to one embodiment, a server includes a storage unit, a communication interface to connect to store servers and customer terminals, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to receive an order from a customer terminal via the communication interface for an item at a store in a plurality of stores at a facility shared by the plurality of stores and output a seat congestion information request to the customer terminal. The seat congestion information request causes the customer terminal to display a request on the customer terminal for an input of congestion information indicating a congestion state of shared seats at the facility. The control unit receives the congestion information from the customer terminal device and tracks the congestion state of the shared seats based on the received congestion information.

A computing system includes a first computing platform and a virtual exchange computing platform, where the first computing platform provides an application and a first electronic value token and the virtual exchange computing platform is communicatively coupled to the first computing platform. The virtual exchange computing platform receives the information corresponding to the first electronic value token and calculates, via API functions linking to banking as a service (BaaS) functionality processed by a valuation computing platform, a valuation of the first electronic value token. A method, computer program product, and system are disclosed. The method, when implemented in a computer system, includes obtaining product information, selecting a production node from a plurality of production nodes, and communicating production information to the production node. The product information is configured to facilitate production of a product. The selecting performed by the computer system comprises determining a physical location of a destination of the product and identifying the production node. The identifying is based, at least in part, on the physical location and one or more production criteria. The production information comprises information identifying the product. The computer system is configured to communicate with each production node of the plurality of production nodes. The communicating is configured to result in production of the product by the production node.

Improvements to existing technologies associated with point-of-sale transactions and merchant ecosystems to, among other things, reduce in-person contact and, in some examples, improve the efficiency at which point-of-sale transactions are completed (i.e., reduce friction) are described. In some examples, such reduced in-person contact and/or improved efficiencies can limit transmission of infectious diseases. As such, techniques described are directed to modifying aspects of point-of-sale transactions such that they occur on different computing devices (e.g., customer computing devices instead of merchant computing devices), are automated, and/or occur at different times than with conventional point-of-sale transactions. Furthermore, in at least one example, techniques described can leverage a distributed, network-based merchant ecosystem—comprising multiple merchant computing devices and/or customer computing devices that are specially configured to communicate with a service provider—to facilitate social distancing, which can reduce in-person contact and, in some examples, improve the efficiency at which point-of-sale transactions are completed.

Disclosed are various embodiments for detecting security breaches using watchdog transaction accounts. A security agent can initiate a purchase with a first electronic commerce system and provide a watchdog transaction account as payment for the purchase. The security agent can then store a record of the purchase which includes a merchant identifier for the merchant and the watchdog transaction account. Subsequently, a transaction authorization system can determine that authorization for a transaction with second electronic commerce system failed. If the transaction authorization system determines that the account used in the transaction with the second electronic commerce system, then the transaction authorization system can determine that the first electronic commerce system has suffered a security breach.

Systems and methods for providing product samples to users in autonomous vehicles, thereby allowing businesses to advertise their products via the rideshare platform. A physical advertising platform is provided leveraging existing rideshare and delivery infrastructure to allow businesses to advertise their products by providing samples in rideshare vehicles and/or with rideshare vehicle deliveries. Consumers have the opportunity to try new products from local businesses that they may otherwise not be exposed to. In some implementations, a rideshare application interface can allow users to see what new local product samples are available. In some examples, a user can select one or more product samples to try.

Disclosed are one or more embodiments for a unique and personalized experience for a user interacting with an electronic commerce site by identifying user-preferred item attributes using supervised machine learning and presenting items to the user in an arrangement that is based on the identified item attributes. A shopping mission is determined according to user interactions with an electronic commerce site. The shopping mission is applied to an attribute prediction model that is trained to detect user-preferred item attributes for items included the item category and estimate a likelihood that an item containing a particular attribute will be purchased or interacted with during the interactions with the electronic commerce site.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media) for software defined silicon security are disclosed. Example apparatus include a trusted agent determiner to (i) determine respective reputation scores associated with a plurality of agents in a mesh network, the plurality of agents associated with a plurality of semiconductor devices, respective ones of the semiconductor devices including circuitry configurable to provide one or more features, and (ii) select, based on the respective reputation scores, a first agent from the plurality of the agents to transmit a request to activate or deactivate at least one of the one or more features. Example apparatus also include an agent interface to, in response to the request, broadcast an activation or deactivation of the least one of the one or more features to the mesh network to cause the trusted agent determiner to update the reputation score of the first agent.
