Systems and Methods for Improved Transaction Reconciliation
Described embodiments relate to a method comprising determining a financial data item of a financial record to be reconciled, determining a candidate accounting record of a plurality of accounting records, and determining an accounting data item of the candidate accounting record, determining, as a first input to a classification model, a first similarity measure indicative of the similarity of the financial data item to the accounting data item, determining, as a second input to the classification model, a second similarity measure indicative of the similarity of the accounting data item to the financial data item, inputting, to the classification model, the first and second inputs, the classification model configured to determine a probability of the financial data item and the accounting data item corresponding to a common transaction, and outputting an indication of the probability of the financial data item and the accounting data item corresponding to a common transaction.
Systems and methods of mobile banking reconciliation
A mobile banking reconciliation application allows a user to reconcile a business's records with banking records associated with one or more accounts of the business. The mobile banking reconciliation application can access an accounting system to obtain business records and banking records associated with the business. The banking records and business records may be displayed as a set of cards that a user can scroll and/or flip through (e.g., using the touch screen of a mobile device). The related business records displayed may be a suggestion that is based on a determination that the banking record likely matches the business record. The user may identify the appropriate business record for the particular bank record being reconciled from existing business records, or the user may create a new business record.
AUTONOMOUS ACCOUNTING ANOMALY DETECTION ENGINE
Novel tools and techniques are provided for detecting and correcting anomalous events in real-time in as users enter data into a general ledger. In various embodiments, a computing system may receive one or more user inputs. The computing system might analyze the one or more user inputs to determine whether there are one or more anomalous transactions associated with the one or more user inputs by obtaining historical information associated with the one or more user inputs and correlating, using one or more machine learning algorithms, the historical information and the one or more user inputs to detect one or more anomalies. Based on the correlation between the historical information and the one or more first user inputs, the computing system might detect at least one anomalous transaction and might generate one or more recommended actions to correct the at least one anomalous transaction.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
An accounting system according to a first embodiment includes a receipt printer that receives transaction information including character strings representing details of a transaction. The receipt printer generates and transmits electronic receipt data which includes a set of character codes that represents at least one of the character strings included in the transaction information. An information processing apparatus receives the electronic receipt data transmitted from the receipt printer, determines a category of the at least one of the character strings represented by the set of character codes included in the electronic receipt data received from the receipt printer, stores the set of character codes included in the electronic receipt data received from the receipt printer in association with the determined category, and displays details of the transaction including the determined category.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING WEALTH OPTIMIZATION
An apparatus may include a computing device including a display, a memory coupled to at least one processor, the at least one processor being configured to: execute a method to anticipate user spending activity based on a plurality of inputs including at least one of a historical purchase history and a location of the user; and providing an alert to be displayed to the user via the computing device to warn the user about an effect of a possible upcoming spending transaction to predefined wealth goals of the user.
Method and apparatus for replicating and analyzing databases
Methods and apparatus for analyzing and replicating databases are provided. Methods may include receiving an accounts receivable information query from a system user. The accounts receivable information query may include a payment. The payment may include a credit card payment, an EFT, a paper check and any other suitable payment. Methods may include reviewing a central database for information pertaining to the accounts receivable query. The central database may include replicated credit card databases, replicated EFT databases, replicated paper check databases and any other suitable databases. Methods may include locating, in the central database, an invoice which may exceed a threshold level of correlation to the account receivable information query. Methods may include displaying to a system user the accounts receivable information query and the corresponding invoice. Methods may include presenting to the system user a user-selectable option to reconcile the invoice with the account receivable information query.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A SPEND MEMORY RECORD
Systems and methods include a database maintained by a financial institution that stores transaction data associated with a previous financial transaction performed via a financial account of a respective account holder, wherein the transaction data comprises a transaction location and a transaction timestamp, a spend memory processor of the financial institution that retrieves the transaction data from the database, interacts with a social linking application programming interface (API) to receive, via a network, social data from a social networking site, wherein the social data comprises a social location and a social timestamp, compares the social data to the transaction data, and creates a spend memory record based on one or more similarities between the social data and the transaction data, and a communication interface of the financial institution that provides the spend memory record to a mobile device associated with the account holder.
STORED-VALUE CARD TRANSFER AGENT
A stored-value card transfer agent includes a database and a card processor. The card processor receives from a wallet client a request identifying a transfer amount, confirms from the database that a balance value in a ledger associated with the client at least equals the transfer amount, reduces the balance value by the transfer amount, adds an additional ledger to the database, updates the balance value thereof to equal the transfer amount, and uniquely associates the additional ledger with a transferee. The card processor also receives a request identifying a withdrawal amount, confirms that a balance value in the additional ledger at least equals the withdrawal amount, reduces by the withdrawal amount the balance value in the additional ledger, and initiates a funds transfer of the withdrawal amount from a first account maintained by a computer server to a second account associated with the transferee.
Location based authentication
A portable consumer device that is used to conduct a transaction at a merchant is authenticated. Information provided to a server computer includes locations of a merchant and a mobile communication device possessed by a consumer. If the location of the mobile communication device corresponds to the location of the merchant, the portable consumer device that is used to conduct the transaction is authenticated.
System for facilitating reconciliation and correlation of workflows
Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for facilitating reconciliation and correlation of work flows. The system is configured for identifying one or more applications associated with an operation, identifying relationships between each of the one or more applications, generating a matrix comprising the relationships between each of the one or more applications, receiving one or more entries from the one or more applications, storing the one or more entries in a ledger, and generating a single reconciliation file combining the one or more entries and the relationships.
